“Great service leading up to the lease when inquiring about prices etc... Helpful and honest facts given to me. However when the car was delivered, I then had to drive a 20 mile round trip to take the delivery driver to the train station which I thought was a bit cheeky. Also the next day the car developed an oil leak. I appreciate this was the fault of the manufacturer, however I believe better pre delivery check may have picked this up. However once FVL were aware of these issues, the problems were quickly sorted out and offered me a gesture of good will as compensation which is highly commendable. Sometimes problems happen but it is a credit to the customer service of FVL that they resolved these issues very quickly. Overall I am extremely happy with my new car, and the service I have had. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to lease a car.”

Hello Chris and thanks for your feedback. This kind of feedback is very valuable as it helps us a great deal to improve our service. As such we have been in contact with the logistics company in regards to the issue you raised above, plus the manufacturer to address their PDI procedures. Both have been made aware of the situation and have promised to implement tactics to stop this kind of thing happening again in the future. “From start to finish they were professional, friendly and gerally very helpful. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is that the car I signed up for had to be swooped to a 4 wheel driver version. This was more an issue with their supplier than DHL themselves.”

“Great service, really helpful salesman. Good communication after sale agreed while awaiting delivery. Only negative was the car was delivered with the petrol gauge flashing red. Unnerving in a car you don't know how far you can go on a petrol warning.”

The situation you mention does sound unnerving as you say and we are sorry to hear about your experience. We have piloted various different paid and free of charge delivery/collection options in the past to try improve the experience in this regard. However low uptake meant these alternatives were subsequently stopped. Our dealers are always asked to clean the cars prior to delivery but in certain circumstances this is not always possible. As part of our process we now call, email and text every customer one day after delivery just to make sure that everything meets the customers expectations.
