“The meat was great. One comment - the Frenchbeer turkey breast joint (1.1 kilo) took at least half an hour longer to cook than the booklet suggested. I wasn't using a meat thermometer. We ended up cutting it into slices for the last 10-15 minutes.”

“All items arrived in good shape. The things we ate out of my order were great. Disappointed there no bacon was available for n the Christmas order, I had to order separately”

“Another excellent Christmas table courtesy of Field and Flower. The products purchased were of excellent quality. The Belted Galloway beef especially, we have not tasted beef like that since I was a kid, when we bought from a local butcher who had their own herd and abbattoir. That said, and this has been raised independently with F&F, 4 boxes for four different order numbers (core Christmas order, top up order, corrected top up order and my regular subscription order) when the entirety of all these orders could have come in one box. This is wasteful and expensive, and that oncost isn't fair on customers. Perhaps working to customer address rather than order number might be an option moving forward?”

“Lovely products delivered in time for Christmas on a day that suited us. Sous vide black garlic cote de boeuf was particularly delicious as was the marmalade glazed mini ham. Would have given 5 stars but we were sent a caramelised onion stuffing when we ordered chestnut and pancetta stuffing and were also sent beef gravy rather than the beef stock we ordered. Both products were tasty just not what we expected expected. The biscuit boxes were also rather crushed in transit.”

“The Christmas food ordered was all very tasty and easy to cook with the instructions. However, I would have liked longer use-by-dates. None were longer than Boxing Day.”

“Specifically reviewing our small Christmas delivery. The smaller breast joint and ham were superb. Unfortunately the latger joint was too stuffing heavy. The meat was good, but the balance was a bit off.”

“I stumbled across Field and Flower about nine months ago and they have transformed how I cook . Since then we have a delivery each month with pork , chicken , fish , cheeses and fabulous butter to name but a few . Quality is so much better than you could buy in a supermarket, and we have the knowledge that the food is produced locally and sustainably .”

“The turkey was delicious as was the rest of my Christmas order. Perhaps next year I shall have to order a larger bird as with 6 healthy boys there was very little left for turkey pie the following day! Thank you. .”

“The contents of the delivery were of the normal high standards apart from the Porchetta which we found very fatty and almost inedible. I had an issue trying to order the Christmas items online but you kindly took my order over the phone.”

“I ordered this goose on the 19th October. It was supposed to be 5 – 6kg for which I paid £131.93 including delivery. The ticket says minimum 5kg in print but hand written on the label is 4.6. I assume that I would have paid for a 6kg bird. So how can 4.6kg bird be the same price. I had already ordered a turkey for Christmas Day not realising that I would be able to secure a goose. The goose is currently frozen as I will use it for my birthday on Sunday Jan 21. I am hoping it will at least be a good goose. But I'm sure you will understand it does not give me confidense going forward. Waitrose adjust the price according to the weight delivered!”

“Delivery was on time and as expected. Packaging was great- everything nice and cold. Picked a delivery date near to Christmas so we could have the food over Christmas. The Scotch eggs, pork pie and cheese were amazing. I needed to add an item a couple of weeks after the original purchase. I sent an email and it was added to the original order - nice and simple! Very good service and very good food!”

“Beef was excellent,a great joint and it cooked to a nice rosy pink in the middle , the gammon was also a great joint with plenty of fat . Was maybe a bit salty but that is probably down to my preparation. Delivery was also excellent and it arrived nicely packaged . Well done !”

“I love Field and Flower products and my Christmas delivery was mostly fine except for one thing. The fish I had ordered smelt pretty awful and was essentially off so I gave it to the dog. It was a terrible shame, although he didn't seem to mind too much thankfully. I'm afraid I won't be ordering fish from F & F in the future.”
