I went for battery replacement for my 2 watches today in Bradford. The lady who served me must have used something very sharp because my MK watch battery cover has now lots of scratches and it looks awful now. My gold plated watch was ok as it was professionally done by a tall guy who replaced the battery. I wish the lady who served me just let the guy replace my MK watch battery too if she had problem opening the cover. But it’s too late now and I feel disappointed knowing someone had easily scratches it!

Very poor service, the store first ordered the wrong size ring, then they did not inform us when the new ring had arrived, when we picked up the new ring we found out that it was a smaller size ring that had been resized, we had not been informed of that at any point previously.

I’ve had two different experiences with F.Hinds and I honestly would not go back. The first time, I went in May 2022 to get my engagement ring repaired as it had started to split to which it went the first time and the person who served me wrote painted not plated on the copy so nothing was done. It had to be resent and I had to wait another 4 weeks. Now in August 2023 it has completely split again so I am going elsewhere. Also we went there to get our wedding rings. They said they would be able to get both rings no problem but was then told that my partners would have to be resized at no extra cost. 4 days later they rang again to say it would be an extra £50. Then the following week I had another call to say that it would be £66 and not £50. Then they never rang to tell me that my rings had arrived. I was served by some lovely people but I’m sorry, it is unacceptable to sell your products in the state they are returned when I already have wedding planning stresses. Will not be using again.

Brought my wedding ring from F Hinds then put it away until my wedding day. When I put it on on my wedding day I noticed that the ring was all scratched. I took the ring to my local store who sent it off to head office only for it to come back as being deemed “customer influenced and therefore not covered under its guarantee”. I only got to wear this ring for 1 day and am hugely disappointed in both the ring and in F Hinds as I am left with a badly damaged wedding ring.

Took my watch inas battery dead…I said it needs to be sent away to be replaced.. the shop assistant went to a back room and returned 5 mins later saying it had been done…. My watch has always been sent off for battery replacement…., she replied maybe they just couldn’t get the back off….. on inspection the back had been forced off and all scratched up …NOT happy….is this still water resistant… please see photo ….WILL NOT BE RETURNING…

After purchasing weddinG band and returning for sizing the ring came back exact same size.. was then told not able to get in that size and if wanted size W would cost nearly twice as much.. Three wasted visits to your jewellery shops.. very frustrating and not level of service you would expect..

Very poor service received, My 90 year old mother bought a metal strap watch, after putting it on she found that she was allergic to the strap. The watch was only on for two hours whilst she sat on her settee. She rang the store and explained the situation and asked if she could bring the watch back and exchange it for another one. The male salesperson asked her to return the watch, she advised him that she was disabled and it might be a couple of weeks as she had to arrange for transport and did not live locally. When she did return the watch the male salesperson was on holiday and she was advised that they wouldn't exchange the watch due to it having skin cells on the back, are they CSI trained ? The salesperson was wiping the watch with what I can only describe as a filthy cloth with black dirty marks all over it (I did take a photograph of it as it was so dirty). Then she was told that she should have brought the watch in earlier as it had been three weeks since she bought it. The store was advised there would be a delay, but the salesperson would not accept anything that had been discussed with the male salesperson and kept saying that it had her skin cells on it. Seeing as staff (took two)had already handled the watch when bought and altered the strap how do you know who's skin cells they were, if at all? The salesperson also implied that the watch had been worn much more than it had which was incorrect leaving my mum as a possible liar. The watch came with a necklace, the salesperson asked where the earings were as they were missing from the box. The watch never came with any and the receipt said watch and necklace and NOT earings, it appeared that they thought she had kept back the earings hoping that they wouldn't know. At 90 years old I don't think that she's going to start a new career as a jewel thief. She was very upset by this. The situation was not going to be resolved although she was asked would she pay towards a new watch strap and she said no, after the service she received she didn't want to spend anymore money with them. As we were leaving a security guard arrived to apparently escort us off the premises. So all in all it was an extremely poor service with my mother coming away as a possible thief and trying to pull some kind of scam. Shame on you F Hinds staff for implying that my mum was a liar and a thief.

I didn't give my consent to be contacted for this survey. My details were taken at the point of sale and at no time was I asked if I'd like to consent to or submit my email. It was just taken and my address and phone number . Not impressed that this was done . Also no conversation by the lady who took my money apart from the fact the watch had a screw down crown.

My 6 year old came into the shop today for her ears to be pierced. She found the lady very scary & not very approachable. My daughter found the first piercing really painful, cried and refused to have the other done. The lady didn’t say anything - all of the shop assistants just looked at her and when my husband went in a little later the lady said ‘ is she definitely going to have it done this time because we need to hurry up as I’ve only got 10 minutes?’ So we left with one earring and no piercing solution.

This was the first time I purchased a bangle for my 1 year-old niece's 1st birthday and paid quite a fair amount of money for it (overpriced, I didn't have other options otherwise wouldn't buy from them). They don't have a decent jewellery box to put the bangle in it and gave me an adult jewellery box. Asked me to pay £2.99 for a bag. Such stuff is free of cost in other jewellery shops and they pack gifts so nicely. A terrible shopping experience and destroyed my mood. I don't recommend them due to their customer service and prices. Please shop around. Would not use them again either.

I was extremely disappointed that the wooden presentation box I bought was damaged. I am now quite distant from the Woking branch otherwise I would go back to the store

Man wouldn't stop talking, trying so hard to sell. I used to work in jewellery and had to ask him to please be quiet.

Happy with the purchase I made however, when giving my personal details to your staff member, I specifically stated twice that I did not want any marketing contact. Within 2 hours of the purchase I have been sent this survey and a Welcome to Love Hinds email. So much for respecting my wishes. I shall be contacting the Information Commissioner's Office if I receive any further contact of this nature.

Our order said it was at the Weymouth branch and when we went to collect on a day the shops online hours stated they were open the shop was closed. We then made another trip in and the order had no record of being placed in the branch yet I have received several emails confirming it and reminding me very disappointed wasted two journeys and wasn’t helped by staff
