The engraving looked perfect and I am happy with the quality of the design. However, the blade arrived with several scratches and blemishes. I am disappointed with the handling and quality checks that allowed this through.

Very good customer service and product was delivered promptly. Slightly disappointed with chess pieces as some wobble over when placing them possibly due to green felt underneath not being placed centrally under all of the pieces.

The chess set didn't look like picure at all. Pieces looked different. The soft part inside the storage box is made cheap and quite careless though the set was over 100

The strain or due that was put on the wood was not even and as soon as it was taken out of the box the brass inscription feel off, also the lining on the kids is loose I was disappointed as it was a Christmas present for my son.

Placed order on the 5th but ihas not arrived. They are not answering the phone and my emails get an automated response. WHY?? You should not be using Royal mail at this time, as you are letting your customers down. The knives are excellent quality, but customer service poor.

Hi Robert, I can see your item is now delivered, the postage cost was refunded as well. Unfortunately, everybody seemed to be experiencing delays with postage and we have been overwhelmed with calls. We are working through calls and emails, and we're pleased to see that parcels are getting delivered although I appreciate that they are arriving late. We are up to date with our dispatch, it's a backlog with Royal Mail that is causing the delay to delivery. Glad the parcel is now safely with you. Best wishes, Jude

Gift arrived late because of Royal mail strikes. Farrar and Tanner should claim back their 48hr tracked payment. The gift of course was beautiful.

Ordered vintage cognac leather apron /with engraving Shipping was fine to U.S. (2 weeks) Quality of apron was good Engraving was done but can not see it …very very very small! No contrast color to leather.We wanted a personalized apron for our son in law…”Chef JD “ but as he opens his gift he will not see the engraving!!! You have to look really hard to see it!!!

So sorry you've not received your order - with the strike action from Royal Mail happening on 25 November as well as 28 November, along with increased orders due to Black Friday, it seems the whole of the postal system has been impacted by this and significant delays have been seen, I hope that the parcel has since arrived. The backgammon board itself is of high quality and very nicely finished. The cheap, light weight plastic counters let down the set - not expected at this price point.

Have bought as gift for my husband for Xmas. Prompt delivery and very well packaged, but glad I checked product before wrapping. I was disappointed to find the cover with what looked liked wash smear marks all over it, I had to give it a polish. Also the personalisation I thought would be done in gold lettering, not so, it was printed into the leather instead.

Actual product looks very good. However was sent in a scruffy gift box that looked to have been damaged whilst packaged. Asked for another to be sent out to me as the product is a gift but I am still waiting for this.

My order of a black leather A4 zipped folio arrived promptly and looks as described - I'm sure my son will be delighted with it. However, the personalised naming on the bottom right of the file is not embossed deeply enough, so not very clear at all. Also, the tissue wrapping of the file did not cover it and was crumpled - not packed with care inside the box... this may seem a small point but it gave a disappointing first impression when opened, and clashed with the classy branding and goods Farrar & Tanner portray. I will rewrap before gifting!

Gift recipient was sent invoice and there was no facility to say who the gift was from. Otherwise the product itself was satisfactory
