First off, although I’ve only given 4 stars, I should say that Farmer Gracy are my favourite bulb suppliers bar none, and I will happily continue to buy from them and have already put in a massive preorder for my next autumn planting. I’ve been buying for about a year now, but in that time I’ve easily bought at least 750 bulbs, tubers, etc. Key points:- The recyclable packaging is gorgeous as well as useful, and a distinct selling point. The bulbs have been about 95/100 perfect upon arrival. A small handful of tulips were rotten, similarly one allium, a couple of narcissi, maybe one or two Reticulata and a few crocuses. Of my summer orders, everything was perfect. In terms of how they’ve grown, most of the tulips were fine (or great!) but the Princess Irene were depressingly small compared to every other variety ordered/grown despite the same conditions. And it was impossible to tell Miami Sunset apart from the Lambada tulips I got from another supplier - the MS basically had no pink in them. That said, all the other tulips were perfect. Similarly, the various Iris Reticulata were mostly excellent, but had some ‘wrong’ bulbs in packs. So a pack of Spot On gave mostly those but also one random Harmony, for example. Other bulbs like chinodoxas and scillas were perfect and bloomed delightfully. I’ve bought a number of ranunculus and had precisely no blooms, but I think this is more my fault for planting in bulb lasagnes. The anemone mistrals have given about a 60% success rate. I made the mistake of planting the Galilee anemones in a bulb lasagne, and not a single one thrived. Meanwhile Dahlias and gladioli arrived in great condition and are doing marvellously. Whilst this may sound a bit mixed, I still found that my FG orders have all done (sometimes significantly) better than U.K. suppliers that I’ve bought from local garden centres! The length of delivery time is what tips me from 5* to 4*. It generally takes 2-3 weeks from the email saying they have dispatched my order, to the order actually arriving. Because of that, I won’t order any bare root products, because it feels too risky to leave a bare root plant in stasis that long. Perhaps that is the cost of ordering direct from the Netherlands, I don’t know - and it’s a cost I’m happy to accept when it comes to bulbs, corms, and tubers, because the quality is generally excellent. Ho fatto vari acquisti e sono stato felice su tutto .. unica cosa negativa ma può succedere 2 caladium arrivati marci e cosa strana ho acquistato una colocasia black magic ma non è x nulla nera .. è una colocasia esculenta o la foglia nera/viola la svilupperà col tempo.. Un po deluso x questo però continuerò a comprare da voi perché siete il top .. spero risponderete a questa mia domanda

There is no doubt that Farmer Gracy products are very good quality. I have just received my fourth order. The only thing I would call out is that it does take some time for plants to arrive and on each of my orders when they have been despatched some weeks after ordering they have run out of stock of some items. So I suggest if it’s something you really want then I would buy them elsewhere rather than have the disappointment a few weeks down the line and when all other shops have sold out too.

1 of the 6 gypsophilas was cut too short and won't grow. But I will be ordering from this web again, because the rest of the roots I ordered are excellent quality. Many shoots on each root and while they satin a dark garage for 3 weeks they groo quick. This is very different to what I would get in Morrisons for example. I can tell the 11 roots I planted will grow quite large already this summer.

Always been delighted with my purchases from you my last order was Begonia Santa Cruz which was large firm and started growing immediately, but the miniature Clivia was very disappointing the full cost is £14.95 it was only the width of my index finger and very little root only one new leaf has appeared from late March the picture shows a large plant with may flowers if it survives it will be a long time until it looks anything like the photo.

The bulbs came well packed and are planted. The geraniums came with plenty of soil and in good containers. Much better than some companies that I have used. Look forward to seeing the plants bloom!

Bulbs all looked healthy, ordered ranunculus, daffodils, tulips, peony, anenome, planted in November. Supposed to have been white ranunculus but some are yellow, only a few of the anenome came up, and were supposed to be pastel but had a dark red one, the mixed daffodils were limited varieties - otherwise everything else seems to be growing and the tulips have been lovely. Few issues wouldn't put me off ordering again as they arrived healthy.

I ordered a large number of bare root plants with some trepidation, not being the greatest gardener or having had bare root plants before. My only issue was the fact that, a week after I received my dispatch notice, I then received an email saying one of the items was out of stock and a refund was issued - not quite sure why that wasn't done before the dispatch. I was concerned that the plants might all be dead as delivery took about a week and the box was very full of bags of earth/plants - however about 3 weeks on from planting everything, all but 1 of the plants are shooting and looking very good. I would definitely use again.

The bulbs were healthy and the tulips have grown beautifully. Only giving 4 stars because instead of pink tulips I must have received yellow however they were marked as pink. I got a surprise when they started to bloom

The rubbekia are now showing new shoots but the Veronica were very small and looked very poor, I’m hoping they survive. All the other plants I’ve purchased have been first class.

Many thanks for my order received beautifully packaged and presented...the 3 astrantia were in great shape and have begun to perk up ready for their final destination shortly. However I'm sad to say that although 2 of the echinacea were in reasonable shape the 3rd didn't make it...there is nothing there at all...I'm sad...

I feel I can rely on Farmer Gracy for decent bulbs which are a good size. Although the paper work & postcards are very pretty & of good quality I would rather not have them & pay a few pence less into the bargain.

Beautifully presented and wrapped with great care. Still awaiting appearance of my bulbs in pots but if they will be anything like the Frittilaries from my last years order I will be delighted.
