Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Bought this travel insurance for my son after using a comparison site - seemed to be a good trade-off between cost and coverage. i.e. not the cheapest but seemed to have fewer exclusions (and much less expensive than the most expensive policies). The real test will be if we need to draw on it... I hope not.”

“I have already given you 5* you vere very good and thank the AlMighty We had no problems only with Ryan Air they asked me and my wife to put our hand luggage in the cargo hould. we had to pay £35 each when we boarded the aircraft there were pessengers on with bigger bags then us. we were very upset and same thing happened on our way back. Thanks Inderpal and Olga Kalsi”

“Gives piece of mind having good travel insurance with cruise cover . We both have medical condisions which are covered with this policy which is well laid out to the customer. But you never know how good any company is until you make a claim so far no problems. Would use this company again.”

“Really disappointed that on compare the market just a week before my renewal the price was substantially lower than the renewal price you gave me. The operator’s attitude of ‘well go elsewhere then’ was not well received. We will look to packaged bank accounts before our next renewal date.”

“First time going abroad since early 2020 so Explorer needed again. Easy online forms to complete. Price gone up but as I'm now 80 I expected it. I love the daily update from Ian about what is happening with his local airport/dog and family. Makes you feel like he's an old friend. More approachable if it is needed.”
