Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Medical Conditions, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“The ease of completing the quotation information, price and ease of printing the documentation were very straightforward. This was effectively a renewal of my previous policy which I purchased in December 2018.”

“Put in a straight forward claim for a missed port (because of stormy weather). Obtained revised itinerary from cruise line but it did not give a reason port was missed, even though I had requested the information. You said you could not deal with it. Why would I make a reason up for the change? The cruise line certainly didn't change it for my benefit. I would have much preferred to dock in Malta, it was one of the reasons I booked the cruise. I have heard that insurers are always trying to wriggle out of honoring claims - seems to be true. Would not recommend your company.”

“I have purchased annual travel insurance from you for several years. I am happy with your communications. I wish you would make it more obvious in your documents the difference between WW1 and WW2 without having to trawl through several documents to find out. I have had no reason to claim for anything so I have no experience on how well you handle claims”

“To be honest it isn't the cheapest in town but it's the best so although we always check on comparison sites we always come back and buy Explorer Travel Insurance! They initially insured us after a rival company refused to renew our policy after a stroke in between the expiration of our existing policy and the travel date so we've stayed loyal. Thanks for giving us that peace of mind when we travel!”

“Easy to book on line (including cover for medical conditions.) I had a query afterwards and had to contact the office and found the assistant I spoke to very helpful. It seems a very reasonable policy with good cover. I hope everything will be as efficient if I ever have to make a claim.”

“Well, I do not have much to say as I did not use it yet, but I have to say that the service by phone and web are amazing. Staff are very nice and pleasent, and they answer any question you have kindly and trying to get you what you are looking for. Hope I do not have to use the insurance, but if I have to I really hope is as good as their service. Thank you.”
