Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Medical Conditions, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Renewed my annual travel policy with Explorer Travel Insurance and all goes well, they take my money a month prior to the policy renewal date (should have started to smell the coffee!) 2 days prior to it starting updated a pre-existing condition on the phone. When you try to claim, they direct you use a claims firm that handles this for them and this firm avoids the facts and seems to prioritise NOT PAYING OUT. Will be going to the Ombudsman if they persist. My advice is avoid them, you only really know how good they are when you try to claim. I cant imagine the problems if you fell seriously ill in another country and you have to deal with their third party. They could even get my name right!”
