Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“I used this travel insurance to cover my 1 month trip to Vietnam. I was lucky I did not have to claim anything. Only thing was that as Vietnam is really a motorbike country, I would appreciate if the basic coverage included riding a motorbike up to 150cc”

“I was disappointed that I missed out on the 10% discount which started the day after I took out my travel insurance. However I always use Exlporer and I am happy with them.”

“I purchased the travel insurance for a trip to new york which the cover has been fine but i called in to the emergency assistance line and no one answered after 15 minutes of dailing and i never got through to anyone. Fortunately i was only after some information on where to get a doctors appointment instead of an actual emergency in which case i would have been left in a foreign country with no help.”

“Booked insurance whilst travelling to New York. Quick and easy and price was reasonable, I guess. Not sure what the company would be like to actually make a claim with, so that's why I've put 4* and not 5.”

“Great product, I've been with this company for years. My only negative is their renewal process, they don't send a quote for the next year, you have to apply online and it's usually cheaper to renew as a new customer through a comparison site which is a bit ludicrous. There's no attempt to keep customers through a loyalty scheme or rewards for repeat custom, that said I still buy their insurance as its a good product.”
