Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“Easy to use online forms to purchase insurance outside office hours. This is my second time using Explorer Travel Insurance and previously I did also speak to a member of staff. Until you need to claim it is not possible to judge ~ this trip to family down under my husband had a mini stroke (TIA). Fortunately, the hospital treatment for 2 days was free because of reciprocal agreements, so we didn't have to claim. Thank goodness and he's fully recovered!”

“Overall cover good, as it should be, but having had hospital treatment had to fill out the medical questionnaire. Answered all the questions about my successful medical treatment but the answers still added nearly £50 to my annual policy. This I find unfair as there isn't the important question " are you cured" or "was the operation successful". On querying this with Explorer Travel I was simply told " we don't do the questions, they are drawn up by a panel of experts". Experts who were obviously tasked with getting the premiums raised rather than obtaining an unbiased opinion.”
