Explorer Travel Insurance has been trading since 2011 and specialises in great value Single Trip, Annual Multi Trip, Winter Sports, Cruise and Backpacker travel insurance.

Buy direct and choose from up to 5 levels of cover with the added peace of mind that all policies are underwritten by Allianz (the world's largest insurer) and include gadget and cruise cover as standard.

We are based in Westcliff on Sea, Essex and are very proud of the excellent levels of service we provide to our customers both online and by our friendly and professional sales advisors. We don't have a maximum age limit for single trip policies and can offer cover for customers with, or without, pre-existing medical conditions.

“I had no human interaction as it was done all online but the process was very easy to complete and the pricing was competitive. As we had used you before I had concerns using you again. Although, fortunately, as I have not had to try and 'make a claim' I have no idea how easy that would be so can't comment on that.”

“Very easy and straightforward procedure to buy the insurance BUT needed to make a claim and spent almost 2 hrs on hold trying to speak to someone.Gave up and rang back the next day when I explained my situation about not being able to go on holiday.Claim forms were supposed to e mailed but to this day have not received them......that was about 4weeks ago.Fortunately the airline came up with an alternative date for a holiday”

“Hi, As a first time user of Explorer Travel Insurance I can only say Applying was very easy and straightforward. Q & A was assisted by prompting which medical problems may need to be reported. As with everyone who proceeds on a foreign holiday they hope the services of the company will not be needed. This was the case on our holiday and thankfully we did not require medical/sickness support and as with ALL types of insurance (Car, House or Travel) it is only when things go wrong can an insurance be found to cover the circumstances of what has gone wrong. I can however on price acknowledge that in my case the cost was less than what I believe was the market leader and much less than other companies I tied on individual sites and comparison sites online. I recommend the company wholeheartedly on price and ease of applying.”
