“The engraving was poor and you could hardly see it.”

Hi Michael I am very sorry to hear about the engraving on your pen was not as you expected. With all our pens, each range is made from slightly different materials, so they all engrave slightly differently. I see you ordered a Cross Century which is a silver colour and engraves with more of an etch in the surface and so it is a little bit more subtle than on some pens where we are removing the top layer and revealing a different colour below. A lot of our customers prefer this subtle finish, however I do understand that you may not have expected this. “Bought a pens set for my fathers anniversary and went with all the wrapping extras. Came on time, packed really nice and definitely looked executive. Comes in a fantastic box, worthy of any occasioned gift, and my dad was really happy too! We had his name engraved so my advice would be for anyone engraving, keep the font simple and not fancy, it will look a treat as did ours! Thank you!”

Hi Thank you for your positive review. We do sell refills for this pen so you will not need to throw the pen away once finished. The pen takes cross style ballpoint refills, if you need any just drop us an email. We sell them in a variety of colours to keep your pen topped up with ink. With regards to the engraving we cannot change the colour of the engraving to black as we only engrave our pens, we never print them (with printed pens the text tends to wear off with the moisture from your hands over time.
