“This run was ok but was very difficult to put together. Took 3 of us to do 1 which was my dad who Is a machanic as we had to grind down several pieces of metal as they wouldn't fit. Would buy again as we have the tools to put together but wouldn't recommend to anyone else I'm affraid”

“Product arrived promptly. There were one or two small bits damaged. I emailed with photos of damaged parts and received a phone call to confirm problem. New parts dispatched promptly and now fitted. Good product hopefully chickens will love it.”

“Fast delivery with a call before to arrange details. Good quality and easy to assemble. 3 chickens have now been in for 5 days and are happily laying eggs. All good and would definitely recommend.”

“We bought the Smokey XL with rain cover direct from the site. I had read reviews where people had mentioned poor instructions, thin wood and damaged items, but figured the only way to know for sure was to purchase. The item arrived quickly and with sufficient packaging. We've managed to construct within 45 minutes despite the instructions being a little light on detail. Overall the hutch run combo looks and feels robust enough and is pretty. The rain shield fits great (where did the negative comments for that come from). The wee ramp leading to the upper level has little horizontal strips of wood on it to enable little feet and bodies to traverse it. I'm putting our guinea pigs in there tomorrow and they are gonna love it.”

“Needed the chicken run asap as had two chickens killed by a fox the day before. Next day delivery was great. Easy to construct with two people. Sturdy and secure. Great service. Thank you.”

“We LOVE the hen ark 100% . The extension run serves the purpose. (BUT why? oh why? does the end piece of the ark run- not fit to be used as the end of the extension run-such a shame and a waste of material.) We now have an odd end bit of ark run, which is unusable -perhaps a re-design and if so please include sensible instructions, in written steps, as they are not very clear. Ark so easy/ to use/ clean and move. Hens love the ramp and egg place easily accessible no bending !!”

“It's ok. A bit thin tongue and groove but it's a reasonable price so I guess fair enough. I needed to straighten one hinge that was bent and move the position of two as the roof didn't line up even closely. Also the little bits of timber to hold the separators in the nesting box had to be refitted as three had come off and another was broken which I had to replace.”

“We paid extra to have the next day delivery promised prominently on the eggshell website. Order before 2:30 for next day delivery. Not only did the ordered coop not turn up the next day but I was told it was on its way and would be with me. To add insult to injury my email asking where the delivery was and requesting a refund of my next day delivery fee was ignored and I received no reply. The coop itself is OKish. I guess you gets what you pays for.”

“It was excellent service, Eggshell phoned me almost immediately to arrange delivery which was then a lot quicker than I thought. I ordered Wednesday and it was delivered Friday by a very courteous APC delivery driver. The actual chicken coop is good quality and all pieces present together with screws etc. nothing missing. I would certainly recommend Eggshell to others. Just look forward to a good supply of eggs and chickens for the table in the future.”

“Am pleased with the product - this one is my third purchase (for nephews). Only downside was only two large washers supplied with "wheelie" kit - the instructions indicated the assembly should have had four.”

“This run is ideal for me. However a couple of hitches. The poles were more difficult to put together as they were slightly out of shape. Needed to get son to straighten. Service and delivery were v good but clearly packaging was a bit beaten up. (Handling?) Price very competitive with others of similar nature and I like that I can expand. Would have given 5 stars if all was in good shape”
