“Chicken coop arrived quickly and is of good quality. The instructions within the main coop package were a little confusing however, with some of the diagrams not always self explanatory. If you choose the portable option, be sure to fix the wheels to the coop at the earliest opportunity when half built, otherwise you will find some difficulty (as I did) in tightening the nuts to the wheels when these are inside the fully built coop and almost inaccessible. Overall, quite happy and should be a great home for the hens...…….”

“Great coop, which will actually be for my little girls running ducks, easy enough to put together. My only concern was one of the run pieces was split and when I tried to call just couldn’t get through. I would of normally of returned but we got our runners yesterday so not an option. Be interesting to see if Eggshell will give me a call to discuss (I have pictures). But overall a great coop and worth the additional costs compared with the cheap Chinese version.”

“The company themselves seem great, fabulous shipping times and good quality products. My concern with the rabbit hutch I ordered is that there is no fully boxed off area - the upstairs has a wire side which leaves my bun quite exposed to the weather. I've had to add some extra wood to keep him warm and sheltered”

“Nice sturdy construction fairly easy to put together only one problem the left hand edging of the nesting box was split due to over tightening of screw by the manufacturer but otherwise was ok. I have put good would have put very good if not for the previous comment regarding the screw. Thank you.”

“House Nelly air well made and run well made but some issues connecting two together. E,g. How do you open pop hole when connected? How do you clean when connected to run if got wheels on? I bought 2 runs with the idea of joining but can't open doors in run from outside.”

“Happy with delivery time. The instructions that came with the hutch were terrible and not easy to decipher. Once put together it is a decent hutch, fit for purpose those did seem flimsy when putting together. The cover is well worth getting as offers some protection to the soft wood from the rain. Guinea pigs seem happy enough with more space and easy to clean.”

“Very quick delivery, thank you. When I unpacked the chicken house I found that one little pack of screws was missing - I was able to substitute these from my own stock. It was quite easy to assemble and I am pleased with the results. However, when I moved it (on the wheels provided) I found it was not very secure with the swing clips. I have now used cable ties to keep the two parts together. Altogether this is a good buy, just a couple of snags as mentioned above. I have now also added a strip of wood at the inside front edge of the nest box section as the straw just kept falling into the litter tray, I think this also gives the hens a more secure feeling when laying eggs.”

“Service and delivery is excellent. I like the extra screws supplied for the construction, however the wood is flimsy especially in places where more strength would be desirable eg the pull out floor and base of nesting boxes. The floor, being long, isn't easy to pull out, as it comes off its runners because they are too narrow to hold it. Cannot leave the wheels on as they fowl the floor tray to be pulled out too. Pulling tray out the other end is not an option, since that is into the run. Opening roof for ease of cleaning, good idea, but when roof opens the way it does you can't reach over it to clean, unless you are really tall I suppose. It certainly looks good though and I should imagine using sturdier wood would put the weight and price up, but with a few tweaks in some areas, this coop could be more impressive. Its plenty big enough for my 6 hens, although I am concerned how to keep them warmer when the winter weather is bad, since wind can howl through all the gaps around the side drop down doors. We have had to put extra rebating around these doors, not only to make them more draught proof, but as stops to prevent them falling inwards.”

“Nice coop, it would be even nicer if the inside walls were smooth, like the inside of the roof is, but otherwise all seems ok. Not as sturdy as something you would build yourself, but compared to other ready-made coops on offer, this was excellent value for money - got it at a discount too.”

“I bought the Smokey XL for my two guinea pigs, and its good because its seems fox proof and it was easy to assemble, however I have had to extend the run to give them enough space. I thought it was a bit bad of them to make it seem larger than it is: its actually only 170cm by 40cm. It also seems quite expensive.”

“The Smokey XL is idea for my two guinea pigs, as their summer day house. it's not too tall and has space to roam. It is a little narrow but nice and long and very easy to build. The waterproof cover seems strong. One thing I was a bit disappointed with is the lack of a separate sleeping area upstairs, which would have been good.”

“Bought a Betty on wheels coop Surprised at the quality of it.. Did upgrade some screws as some a bit too short.. added a piece of wood across the top of the opening to re enforce it as quite weak if you lent on it to lean in. Took no time at all to put together but putting the wheels on was very tricky as the holes were not drilled in the correct place. Very happy with it.. Hens love it.. we have 7 hens which I would say was the maximum. Thanks eggshell.”
