“Fast delivery, though unfortunately, the items I received were both ex-display items that had discoloured in the sun despite being told in an email that they weren’t display items. I contacted the seller about this and also sent photographs but never received a reply :(”

“Excellent speed of delivery in time for a wedding, package was well wrapped but the imperial blue Denby platter had scratches on it. Waiting on return item but that was only sent back in the last 24 hours so not judging too harshly.”

“Excellent service order and delivery. However, upon first use of the Kitchen Aid mixer, the front cover fell off and screws fell from the main body. When spending £600 on a food mixer, I wouldn't expect to have to check all the screws.”

“I ordered 2 sets of Denby glasses for a present. Only one set was sent and I informed Dawsons immediately. Two days later I received a reply asking for photographs of packaging and other information that it was not possible to supply as they had been sent directly to my friends. I gave Dawsons the correspondance between us and a picture of the two glasses from my friend. They came back 2 days later and told me that they hade checked the weight of the parcel and only 2 glasses had been sent. They had no more in stock. I do not know why the could not have checked the weight and not put me through the worry they have. I now have to find another 2 glasses from elsewhere. Very bad first ( and last) experience.”

“The produce was fine, as was the service. The reason for the 3 star rating was because of all the unnecessary and excess plastic packaging. E Cookshop Staff - please give more thought to this and consider more responsible wrapping methods.”

“I was absolutely delighted to find somewhere that still sells the Denny linen range. Delivery was quick but unfortunately when it arrived one of the bowls was broken in transit so I had to throw it out which was a real shame.”

“The items are great but I ordered Le Creuset specifically for quality. The packaging was very poor. The items were not secured, the box seemed too big and there was a poor attempt to secure them with a bit of plastic filler stuck on top.”

“Item was exactly as described and arrived promptly. Check-out was annoying as although there was an alert that the delivery address could not be altered, I didn't realise that it had already been selected as the billing address. (Not what I wanted.) But delivery was prompt. Packaging a little excessive, but no breakages!”
