The service I have received from Direct Stoves has been fantastic. The stove itself is excellent and the customer service has been great. My only negative experience was dealing with the courier company. The delivery driver was incredibly surly and unhelpful. He refused to use the trolly he had in his hands to wheel the heavy stove into my front door. He left the crated stove on the road in-between a bin and a parked car and when I asked for help wheeling it into my property, he refused saying that he had delivered it and that his job was done. I would strongly recommend that Direct Stoves look into the matter and potentially consider partnering with an alternative courier company, as they really do represent Direct Stoves in that situation. Other than that, my experience has been great, and I would highly recommend Direct Stoves to anybody looking to have a wood burner installed. Many thanks, Paul.

Absolutely love the stove, works perfectly. It was a great price and just the style we were looking for. Softer and more vintage look than a very modern one. It’s also a perfect fit for smaller fire places - I was so keen that it didn’t look too small/squat and really wanted a bigger stove - it fits perfectly. The customer service was impeccable too, actually had a customer service guy ring me to let me know it was out for delivery that day, as I was worried about brexit etc - it arrived in time. The only reason I put 4 stars is because the delivery guy wouldn’t bring the stove into our garden even though it’s a straight path to the garden from the road side. My partner and I had to lift it into the garden and house and I put my back and neck out. I have an 8 month old so it’s a massive inconvenience. I’ve never lifted something so heavy in my life and I’m a tall capable lass. I just think actually delivering the stove to your house should be part of the cost. Other than having to recover from lifting the stove we have enjoyed using our lovely stove.

Direct stoves has a easy to navigate website when ordering your chosen stove with a choice of fitting and flue lining kits. We ordered the Canterbury gas stove which was delivered promptly and on time. The reason the review is not five star is because the fitting kit did not have the required parts to actually fit the stove it requires an elbow to turn the flue up the chimney in order for connection to be made to our flue set up! Just be mindful when ordering the fitting kit, it is essentially a 1 m stove pipe and nothing else.

Great advice in the shop from Anthony but didn't decide on a stove there and then. Later ordered online which was excellent, especially being able to pick delivery date. Only problem was delivery was one man who couldn't move or lift the stove on his own. Luckily one of neighbours agreed to help him. Very happy with stove.

We have yet to install our stove. However, the delivery of the stove left a lot to be desired! It was delivered in a Bedford type van with no tail gate lift or any other means of removing it out of the van! No equipment was available and I had to use my own plan of action to remove it from the van, luckily without any damage. The driver was not at fault apart from probably should have refused to deliver it without the written instructions on the Delivery Note being adheared to!

I have been looking at replacing my 18 year old Hunter Herald 8 with an eco version ready for the new regs. I opted for a Hunter Allure 7. I was able to select a delivery day and had a time window notification. The stove came with register plate, 1m flue pipe and gloves. Without any exaggeration the Allure 7 produces twice the heat using less than half the wood. The huge glass door remains 100% clear all the time. The burn control is pinpoint accurate so you can have exactly the fire you want all the time. I would highly recommend Direct Stoves and the Allure

Excellent product del good. No instructions re coal positions also poor fitting instructions asked to fit batteries after I had fitted burner assembly so had to remove and fit them

The product itself is great. Just as seen on website. However I do have issue with delivery. It arrived packaged on a pallet. This was left on my doorstep and could not be taken inside. This was a problem for me. The driver was kind enough to wait until I managed to unpack the shelf and then he took away the pallet.

Great communication, assistance with order as I had made a mistake. However order not sent to supplier immediately which resulted in delay of delivery of two days, meaning I needed to take another day off work. Initially went with company for speed of delivery, as I could have had fire a tiny bit cheaper elsewhere but longer delivery. However these things happen, experience with customer services was good. Fire is great and just want I wanted. Would use company again.

Excellent service and everything we ordered was delivered at the same time. Star lost for the fire chamber, which didn’t have a finished edge so it looked ghastly on the sides. Out stove fitter had to put a metal angle trim to hide the concrete and uneven tiles. For the money, it could have had a better finish to this product. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

Had our Portway Arundel stove now for about three months and just managed to install it a few days ago. Had a lot of work to do in the hearth and chimney stack. Installed a new liner and insulated with vermiculite. We are very happy with the outcome. Stove is efficient and clean and we are hoping to burn only well seasoned hardwood logs. The only issue so far is the the glass marks quite badly even with the airwash vent open and bottom one closed.

Direct Stoves were very helpful and efficient, however, I had requested that the courier contact me before making the delivery, but sadly that did not happen and they tried to deliver when we were away. I had to contact them and agree an alternative date when we would be in. However, this worked and the driver was most helpful. Finally, the Vita Max wood oven is brilliant. Regards. Neil

I recently ordered a new BRITISH MADE stove from Direct Stoves for mainly two reasons. 1, it was available in stock and 2, it was about £150 cheaper than my local stockist. I must say, that the local stockist to me was much more knowledgeable than the chap that I spoke to on the telephone at Direct Stoves, but he could not supply the stove of choice until December. I received the same stove five days after placing the order from direct stoves, and there was a weekend in between! The delivery driver had a motorized pallet truck and did all the work, placing the stove (which was all wrapped with its accessories in film and on a pallet) in my garage. I didn't have to help in any way. Great service, availability and value for money. I would like to add that after Brexit, it was very important to me to buy a British made Stove in order to support British industry.
