“The wallpaper samples look promising overall, but it is still a bit unclear what the final texture will look like in real lighting and on a larger surface. It is difficult to understand whether the pattern will have visible brush strokes or a smoother finish. More detailed close-up images or a larger sample would help to better evaluate the texture and depth of the design.In addition, the price feels somewhat high compared to what is currently presented and the expectations created by the samples.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You raise a fair point — sample swatches can only tell you so much about how a design will read across a full wall or in your own lighting. If you'd like to evaluate a particular paper more thoroughly before committing, please email us at support@designerwallpapers.co.uk and we'd be happy to arrange a longer drop or larger sample where the supplier allows. We'd much rather help you feel confident in the choice.

Hi Martin, Thanks for the feedback, and sorry the A4 samples didn't give you enough to go on. You may not have realised, but alongside the free A4 samples we also offer larger paid samples on most of our papers — typically a full A3 cutting or a metre length — which give a much better sense of scale, pattern repeat and how the design will read on a wall. If you'd like to revisit the design you were considering, drop us an email at support@designerwallpapers.co.uk and we'll happily point you to the larger sample option (and refund the cost against any subsequent order). We've looked into this and we think there may be some confusion — our records show the order placed with us was returned to us unopened, so the wallpaper can't have been received in opened packaging from Designer Wallpapers. It's possible the review relates to an order from a different supplier. “I’m only writing this review as Designer Wallpapers asked me to! The wallpaper is lovely. The delivery, SHOCKING. Promised next working day delivery, it took nearly four weeks with absolutely no communication or apology.”

Hi Georgina, Pleased the wallpaper met expectations, and genuinely sorry the delivery fell short of what we'd promised. Stock our supplier had listed wasn't actually available; we expedited as best we could, but it still took weeks rather than days. That's our responsibility regardless of the supplier issue. One point worth noting for anyone reading: we did email and call several times during the delay and didn't hear back, which is the only reason this couldn't be resolved at the time — we'd have offered a full refund as an option. Hi Catherine, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry the sample didn't reach you — Royal Mail occasionally lose items in transit, which is unfortunately outside our control. For context, our samples are sent free of charge as a courtesy to help customers choose a design, and I personally followed up by email seven days after dispatch to check whether your sample had arrived. I didn't hear back, so I had no way of knowing there was an issue until this review was posted. I'd genuinely like to put this right. “I am happy with Designer Wallpapers overall and have purchased from them several times. I have left 1 star off due to my recent experience where I need more of the same paint mixed as wall needs another coat but the base colour is not available. I have been waiting to hear when it is back in but nothing so far and almost 1 month gone.”
