“Being a male dancer in the past myself, and having dancing offspring, I ordered during Covid-19 time some new items to join my boys once in a while during their (compulsory) home-training with a fitting outfit, in order to win their hilarious bet I would do that in style. The discounted Plume, Wear Moi and Repetto stuff that I ordered was nicely priced for the quality, and it fits perfectly (at least on me), especially when compared to the legwear and leotards I used to wear more than 30 years ago. Unfortunately, for some items that I ordered it turned out that they were out-of-stock, but I got within a day kind mail from DanceDirect/IDS employees to sort that issue out. Since I live in EU, I ordered (up to end of June 2021) in batches having a value of less than EUR 22.00 so that the shipments were not hold back for time-taking customs clearance procedures and did not cause additional import handling charges. All shipments arrived in about 7 working days in good order with national post. The DanceDirect "My Account" seems to be separate per country, so it might be a bit difficult to manage the orders via distinct DanceDirect accounts when one orders via different websites (for instance the .com or .eu website). But the order confirmation and shipment mails are (even when having ordered without the account) sufficiently clear to my taste. So, thanks to DanceDirect I won a bet (but don't take another one on stamina though)...”

“I had placed an order for 3 costumes knowing I would need to Send 2 back. Unfortunately all 3 didn’t fit! (Guess I need to measure my daughter instead of guessing) so I went to the web site to see how to return. Wow so easy and free to return also just print out the returns label. Great service”

I am sorry that the costumes did not fit. The manufacturers all work to different sizing standards and we publish their sizing charts to try to help you get the correct size. Thank you for the great review about the returns process.

“Frais de port excessifs 20 euros pour quelques collants plus 36 Euros de frais de douanes !!! 56 euros la livraison cela commence à être chers. Création d'un compte professeur qui au final de sert à rien car nous sommes assommez par les taxes !!!!”

Merci pour votre commentaire. Nous sommes désolés que vous ne soyez pas satisfait de votre expérience d'achat chez nous. Toutes les informations concernant les nouvelles procédures douanières suite au Brexit sont disponibles ici : https://www.dancedirect.fr/info-ddfr-customers. Notre bureau à Bordeaux a fermé en Août 2020 et, d'un point de vue logistique, nous ne sommes pas en mesure de proposer des tarifs locaux à nos clients internationaux. Il était devenu peu rentable de maintenir notre petit bureau local et notre entrepôt à Bordeaux. Tous deux étaient beaucoup plus petits que nos opérations couvrant le reste de l'Europe et aussi les États-Unis. Cela signifiait que nos clients de Dance Direct en France ne pouvaient acheter qu'une fraction de notre gamme totale de produits. Une combinaison de COVID en conjonction avec l'expiration du bail des locaux a accéléré ces plans.

I understand that the current delay in shipping is hugely inconvenient for you, for which we apologise. It does state on the website to allow up to 72 hours (3 working days) between order placement and despatch of your order and your order was despatched on a 48 hour tracked delivery service within this time span. The number of staff we can have on the premises is limited to ensure compliance with social distancing. We’re sorry we’ve fallen short of your expectations on this occasion.
