“I used Country Hotel Breaks by mistake, thinking I was on the hotel's own website, and I realised too late that I could have made the same booking £20 cheaper directly with the hotel. Country Hotel Breaks would not refund the difference (as promised on their website) because they claimed I was getting a later checkout, but it isn't shown on my booking confirmation (and I don't particularly want it anyway) so that remains to be seen on the day. The booking was made successfully but wasting £20 is annoying, so another time I'll be more careful to check I am booking directly with the hotel. (Edit: I am NOT suggesting that CHB impersonated the hotel, my mistake was due to not looking carefully at the webpage and being inexperienced at booking hotels.)”

“This booking was a gift voucher purchased for us. The booking process was easy to follow and pretty straightforward. I think it would be a lot easier if there was just one website to book through instead of 3 options showing the same hotels. Also the interactive map of hotel locations was not the most user friendly and kept jumping to locations around the UK when trying to zoom in and out.”

“The list of so called luxury venues a lot if them have some very poor ratings - you need to remove the title luxury breaks as it is misleading and reflects poorly on your company”

We feature a variety of hotels on our website, and of course, luxury can mean different things to different people. However, we personally visit all the hotels on our site, and all of them offer comfortable rooms, good dining, and the kind of facilities you would expect for the type of hotel (from charming country inns to grand country houses), at the very least. You can read real, uncensored, honest customer reviews on our website, and if any hotel falls below our standards, we investigate, counsel the hotel, and remove if absolutely necessary.
