“Very good customer service. I booked online which was easy until the screen disappeared just after I had paid. I don't think it was down to their website - as I have a new phone and it seems to have a glitch after approving payments on a bank app. When I called this company, someone answered straight away, and was able to find my order details. She corrected it so that I received an email saying the booking had been requested, and the process completed smoothly after that. These days it is rare to be able to make such a call with such an easy resolution. Thank you”

“Disappointment is an overstatement. After the first meal we went to reception requested if we could leave a early. We didn't book through them so we could not have a refund. The atmosphere was that of a funeral director except the people were all trying to be richer than the people for the next table. At over £40 for a steak one third of the steak was inedible(I do have pictures) the triple cooked chips may have been cooked three times, but other than that they were a misrepresentation. They clearly need to have a look at their recipe. The wine which was ordered was not received put a cheaper bottle of the same grape. We paid for the dog £20 per day in advance and when leaving they try to charges £20 per day as an addition. And that is just off the top of my head, never again. The area is absolutely breathtaking but find a decent hotel. NO REFUND”

“Maybe it was the 'system' but booking and paying really was difficult to do! The 'system' went down about ten times, response was a snail pace, i had just about given up, tried final time and somehow i got there! i had the timeto keep trying, had i not had the time i would have given up! Anyway, looking forward to the hotel stay.”

“When I was using my voucher to book a break, the system alerted your agent, Linda, to the fact that it had expired. I had the booking date and your agent was very quick to reassure me, check the details and amend the expiry date on the system. Linda was very easy to deal with, sorted it all out and was very pleasant. She is a very good ambassador for your brand.”

“Very easy to find ideal hotels for our short break. You can search all or narrow down to England then which county area. The drop down menu does have a few options available to choose that don't currently have hotels in but it was easy to navigate. I was booking 2 different hotels in different towns but both from the same gift voucher that was given on my retirement. It was simple to just put the voucher code in and lovely to see a £0 balance too . Very happy so far.”

“I made my booking via telephone as being a person of a certain age who enjoys the personal contact. All told I made three phone calls and was very fortunate to get the same lady each time. Regrettably I failed to get her name. However she was extremely pleasant, very helpful and assisted me with my reservation.You are very fortunate to have a member of staff of this quality who made my experience of dealing with Country Hotel Breaks a real pleasure”
