“I have very sensitive skin and Cornerstone is one of the only brands that doesn't cause me to break out in an irritable shaving rash. However, I find the packaging that my razors are sent in to be excessive. The razors only take up about 1/8th of the size of the parcel is not even remotely suitable to a central London flat with a small postbox.”

Thanks for the review - it's great to hear you're loving the shave! As a small startup we use our members' feedback to guide all our developments, and we've been working hard to narrow our packaging even more - do keep an eye out for our new nano blade boxes :-)

“Like the new razor but preferred the old one. Not very keen on the shaving gel will not be ordering again”

Sorry to hear you didn't love the shave gel James! We know our gel is different from a lot of others out there - many members like its transparency, as they're really able to see where they're shaving, though we know this can take some getting used to. We do have an alternative shave cream available. You can check it out on our site, here: www.cornerstone.co.uk/products. “The basic business model of Cornerstone (scheduled delivery of shaving products) is a great idea. The quality of the products is sufficiently high to continue, given the convenience, but they do fall below what one can get at, say, Taylor of Old Bond Street, Aesop, or occasionally even the Body Shop.”

Thanks for leaving your review Jason - as a small startup we do take all feedback onboard, and use it to guide our development. Our skincare supplies have been developed by British dermatologists and chemists, using feedback from our lovely members, so it's a real shame you didn't love them.

“I had used Cornerstone since the company started, I thought I'd try something new: Big mistake! I have gone straight back to my Cornerstone shaves! The blades are excellent, no dragging or harsh feelings, the products smell great and work better than any I've used! I contacted the customer service team to reinstate my account! Wayne sent the most personal email I've ever received from a company! Very impressed with the service! I think I'm a Cornerstone guy for life!”

“I was prepared for disappointment but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Over the years I've tried lots of new razors and always ended up going back to the trusty Mach3 Turbo. So out of the box and the first shave I was very impressed with the lack of knicks or any razor burn. The blades seem finer than others and the shaving sound reminds me of a barbershop shave, just closer and more comfortable.”

“Initially the product idea was good, but, a lot of the advertising blurb is turning out to be just hype, for example, they say do not dry shave, & never against the grain, but their advertising emails show a barber doing precisely this, they say never use a blade twice, sorry, but I get 2 very decent shaves from one blade providing I clean it thoroughly, they say never shave against the grain, I have to shave with the grain, across the grain in both directions & against it just in order to get a close shave, such is the way the hair on my face grows, this product was produced for whipper-snappers looking to remove a bit of bum fluff, the blade itself is far too big to cut the sideburns above my ear or to get to the hair around my nose safely, this product only works if you have 45 minutes+ to spare on a single shave, most blokes operate under the four S routine, shit, shave, shampoo, shower, & all done in under 10 minutes, buy it if you want, but frankly its a toy for the occasional treat..”

I am a little unsure as to which advertising email you are referring to so I would greatly appreciate you emailing the care team at help@cornerstone.co.uk so they can look into this further for you. We have tried to develop this razor for all different kinds of persons but we understand it will not suit everyone. Sorry again for the disappointment.

“Excellent customer service, impressed before even recieving the product. Had personalised emails resolving my problem and correcting my order within no time at all. If the product is as good as the support I will be a lifelong customer.”

“Since the new blades have been introduced I have been slightly disappointed with them on two points. 1. when using a new blade for the first time the blade seems to drag across my skin. 2. I find it difficult to change the blade directly from the container to the razor handle, I much preferred the previous blade and handle.”
