I don't want to change but the 60% rise is a lot out of our pension £213 to £350, is a bit much to think about. but you have always been alright in the past, and have good people to inter change with

I found a really good quote through confided.com. The insurance company is Quotmehappy. In order to pay I need to log onto their website. It has locked me out for no apparent reason. I have contacted them with no success. Certainly haven’t quoted me happy.

Renewal quote comes in with a month to go. Up £80 from last year. 10mins on Confused & a like for like quote is found ay only a few quid more than last year. Just a shame we have jump ship so often but at least confused makes it easy.

Unfortunately some of the questions are too vague and when I followed up on the quotes the insurance companies increased their rates. In the end I stayed with my current insurance company.

Didnt take the cheapest quote! What really annoyed me though was the closer it got to renewal date the more expensive the quotes got!!

i am definitely not IT literate so I had to get someone to help and I gave him the information. Sometimes it would not let you change the information easily.

I eventually found a good quote from a highly rated by Which? Insurer. But I was horrified to see many quotes including from Ageas from insurers rated the worst home insurance providers: Aegas last autumn offering the worst customer service and the highest proportion of complaints upheld by the ombudsman - clearly in the business of claim avoidance. I expect Confused.com to have some standards and values as well as getting low prices, and these should be shown in listings.

Searching for quotes was fine, as was chosing the com0an83s I was interested in. However, when I switched to the company's website, the quote I received on Confused.com was not fully represented on Aviga's website. I needed to answer questions I had already answered on Confused.com and the actual cost was higher than the quote. This rather negated some of the benefit of using confused.com

I was given quote details on the Confused.com site relating to Policy Expert Gold cover which showed Excess of £250 for both Building and Contents. However, when purchasing that same cover, the paperwork from Policy Expert showed £350 Excess for each. I contacted them where they said it was a 'fault' of your site and we should approach you. Policy Expert indicated there would be an additional premium of £25 if we wished to reduce the Excess amounts, so not very happy.
