“To be honest they didn't really taste of very much and the ginger centre, in my opinion, was not a large enough piece.”

We're sorry to hear this. Our Glorious Ginger is an annual bestseller and is crafted by putting big chunks of crystallised ginger inside domes of our 72% origin dark chocolate from Ecuador, which itself is a 1 Star Gold Great Taste Award 2023 winner.

We're so pleased that your chocolate looked beautiful, but sorry it wasn't for you flavour-wise. Our Oat M!lk chocolate is the perfect dairy-free alternative to milk chocolate. Made without gluten, soya, or nuts, it is a wonderful plant-based chocolate that has a truly ‘creamy’ taste and is much like a classic milk chocolate. In fact, during taste tests, most people could not tell this was made with oat m!lk and thought that it was a regular milk chocolate.

“The egg was broken on arrival before it had even been opened, and the package itself was damaged”

We're so sorry to hear that you received a broken egg. This is certainly not how we want our lovely chocolate to arrive. We do hope that the chocolate was still a pleasure to eat despite its less-than-perfect appearance. All our chocolate gifts are despatched in perfect condition as we take the utmost care in wrapping them. But if any items are unfortunately broken in transit by circumstances beyond our control, please contact us as soon as possible after receipt, or within 2 weeks of a key gifting event (eg. Valentine's Day, Easter, Christmas).

“Disappointing. The chocolate egg arrived completely shattered, obv some work required on wrapping. As it was a gift I only found it on Easter day. Would have given 5 stars if it was not for that”

We're so sorry to hear that your egg arrived damaged. This is really sad and clearly disappointing, and certainly not how we want our lovely chocolate to arrive. All our chocolate gifts are despatched in perfect condition, as we take the utmost care in wrapping them. But if any items are unfortunately broken in transit, we would encourage customers to contact us if they notice anything wrong with their order as soon as possible after receipt, or within 2 weeks of a key event such as Easter, so that we have a chance to put things right.

“Bought a large honeycomb (what's the extra 'e' doing in your spelling?!) egg as a gift. It was a decent egg but nothing special unfortunately - for the price, it was a bit disappointing.”

Honeycombe Chine in Bournemouth is very near to where Chococo originates from, hence the play on words. Nothing special? It was one of Cosmopolitan's 'Best Large Easter Eggs 2024' and was featured in 'The Best Luxury Easter Eggs 2024' in Grazia. We think that's pretty special!

“I thought I would give the mystery box a try, disappointingly it only contained chocolate shapes both solid and hollow, all left over from Christmas. I will buy from chocoholic again as their chocolates are delicious but I won't get a mystery box again!”

They can contain items from right across our range, including handcrafted chocolates, seasonal items, sale products and everything else! Thank you, we're so thrilled that you love our chocolates. A handy hint for chocolate extraction is to lift out the cardboard grid dividers which hold the chocolates in place. We put this little tip on our boxes and menus, so sorry if you missed it, but using toothpicks is an inventive alternative 😁️

Thanks for loving our packaging but sorry to hear that our chocolate wasn't to your taste. We have to beg to differ though, our chocolate is something special! It's single-origin, slave-free, ethical, plastic-free, we care about the taste of our finished chocolates, we also care about the bigger picture - about the provenance of our ingredients, whether local or global, and about the people who produce them, they're hand-crafted, hand-decorated and hand-packed, all of which makes it pretty special, but that's just our opinion 😊️

Sorry that you didn't fall in love with our chocolates. The webpage for the Large Fresh Selection Box shows the Eat By date, states that the box contains fresh ingredients and that they need to be eaten quickly. The messages are repeated in various forms to make it as obvious as possible, so we're sorry if you missed that information.

“Delivery was good and appreciated heads up that package was branded. The box of chocolates is a gift but looks nice. The chocolate salami looks the part but doesn’t look as good as the pics when you cut it and is not as nice tasting as I’d hoped, but all tastes are different!”

Our Chocolate Salami was a 2 Gold Star Great Taste Award winner in 2018 and is handcrafted with our house 72% Ecuador origin dark chocolate, which itself was a 2023 Gold Great Taste Award winner - that's a lot of Great Taste in one Chocolate Salami!

“I placed the order for 2 boxes of 25 Chococo in the first week of December. I had read on the website "somewhere" that these were cream chocolate, they had a short shelf life. However, I was very disappointed to receive the order with 22nd December as sell-by date. These were Christmas presents and I had the embarrassement to tell the recipients to consume as soon as possible. This date should have been highlighted on the order page and I would have waited for a few days before ordering.”

All our fresh chocolates have several clear messages their individual product pages showing the Eat By date, that they contain fresh ingredients and that they need to be eaten quickly. The message is repeated in various forms to make it as obvious as possible, so we're sorry if you missed these and for any embarrassment. To order in advance to gift at a later date, you don't need to wait to order, simply need to select our 1st Class Preferred delivery option as you go through checkout and we'll despatch later using the freshest chocolates.
