We have been crafting fine chocolates in Dorset since 2002 with origin chocolate & local, seasonal ingredients (& no additives, preservatives or added sugar), so they are truly handmade, handpacked & delivered fresh.

“Chocolate has a very cheap taste. For the cost of the boxes online, the purchase is not worth it. I have paid less money for better chocolate quality.”

Thank you, we're so pleased that you love our chocolates. As we're sure you're aware, not all emulsifiers are artificial. We do have some chocolate varieties which contain no emulsifiers at all; these are only available in bar or flake form. Our other chocolate varieties contain emulsifiers in the form of lecithin - mainly sunflower, some soy - which are available in a variety of bar, flake and novelty formats, however we are in the process of phasing out chocolates which contain soya lecithin as far as we are able to. The fillings for the chocolates in our selection boxes may also contain a variety of other types of emulsifier such as egg (used in fruit curds), butter (used in caramels), E472a & polysorbate 60 (present in Oatly Whippable Cream used in our vegan caramel), as well as the emulsifier in the chocolate itself, but this is not an exhaustive list. However, we are continually trying to source more natural products and where possible changing recipes and ingredients. The ingredients for all of our products can be found on our website on the Ingredients tab on each product page, so as long as you know what you are looking for in terms of emulsifiers, you will be able to see if a product contains it there. As not all emulsifiers are artificial, they would only be listed specifically as 'emulsifier' in our ingredients list if it is artificial.

“Really lovely business. I love the ghosts and bats and I think they’re adorable. Although I loved the taste. I believe there is always room for improvement, and the packaging is very basic. I am grateful for my chocolates and I hope this feedback can help. The only thing I would suggest is that when I opened the packaging the label came off of the box so now I feel like it takes away the brand (marketing) and it’s just a brown box. It is also quite difficult to close.”

“I phoned from London on Wed 11 October to ask if it would be possible to send me 2 boxes of mixed chocolates with a view to them being delivered the next day so I could give them as gifts that evening. The lady I spoke to was extremely helpful and said it would be possible provided I got my order in by midday, which I did. I phoned back to confirm the order had been placed, she identified it and said she would make sure it was sent out that day. I received the chocolates by 1pm on the 12th and was able to hand them over that evening, much to the recipients' delight! Thank you very much.”
