About Charlotte Mills :

Wedding shoe designer, Charlotte, graduated from the prestigious Cordwainers (part of London college of Fashion) and along with its Alumni - the likes of Jimmy Choo, Patrick Cox and Sophia Webster - she followed her dreams and created her own brand in 2014 when she launched her first collection.

A pair of Charlotte Mills shoes has everything covered - the “Something old” is the silver Sixpence, the “Something new” is your shoes, “Something Borrowed is an envelope we provide which can be sent back to us with a picture of you in your shoes, and your “Something blue” is the blue detailing in the in-sock.

Charlotte hopes that each and every Bride falls in love with their wedding shoes and will treasure them forever as a keepsake of their special day.

“This is a beautiful dress- however I am a size 14-16 and could not get it on (it wouldn't go past my hips and bum. Bit disappointed as usually I always size up however the description advises you to size down. I was also surpised that the bow trim detail to the shoulders is not fixed in place, the gathered fabric layers move around.”

“I love the style of Charlotte Mills shoes, and the focus on comfort, style and a beautiful keepsake. They’re easy to buy from and have great customer service. However, it was clear that the pair I had bought had been tried on by someone prior to me, with dents on the removable protective layer, scuffing on the sticker, and the slightly wrinkled look of soft leather when it has been tried on. This is disappointing to see for wedding shoes, and especially a “splurge” pair!”

“Beautiful designed shoes but i m a size 5 and the fittings for all the sizes of 5,4 &3 were not right for my feet. They were all too long and the strap was also too long. So unfortunately I had to return them. The customer service was very helpful.”

“I was surprised how uncomfortable the shoes were for the price. I tried a range of different shoes on going that these would be the most comfortable but unfortunately they weren't. The stitching on one pair was really poor, the quality just wasn't there to warrant the price unfortunately. I was really hoping these would be my wedding shoes.”

“Beautiful shoes and packaging and they arrived promptly. However, the wide fit was not wide enough unfortunately and the ankle strap they came with was far too short. I've experienced the wide fit issue with other retailers but not the ankle strap. That's a new insecurity for the list! The shoes were absolutely beautiful though so if you don't have wide feet, I'd highly recommend Charlotte Mills! Very sad to be sending them back.”

“Overall it was a bit of a frustrating experience. As the only permanent boutique for Charlotte Mills I would have expected there to be at least one pair of shoes in every size to try them on properly, so as to make sure I ordered the correct size. In the end I just had to guess, which took the fun out of it. Other than that, the shop assistant was lovely, the delivery was quick and the shoes are beautiful quality. Thankfully I guessed the right shoe size!”

“Beautiful shoes! But do not be seduced…. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes in the same style the standard fit ( which was tight ) but was told the leather would “give” if I tried them with socks at home and an assurance that the wide fit would be posted to me by the end of the week. Thus I would have a choice of two pairs making sure one of them fitted perfectly. I am sure all of this information was provided by the shop assistant in good faith but unfortunately wide fit did not arrive and despite wearing socks the others remained too tight and could not be returned as I had worn them. So brides please make sure your shoes are comfortable as mine were excruciating.”

“Very gorgeous Charlotte Mills shoes! but after following all the sizing guides, taking measurements etc I ended up with a shoe that was way to big to wear. Super disappointed. I did buy through the sample sale so I can not return. Sad that I spent $300CAD on shoes I’ll never been able to wear and now still do not have wedding shoes. Hoping to try again someday.”

“Cute but probably overpriced for abit of mesh material. They don’t have a slot to put the strap through so you could put them with any shoe really”

“I cannot rate the packaging, customer service and quality of shoes enough. They really do add to that extra special touch for your wedding day. I was thinking about purchasing for several months & was left a little disappointed when I took the plunge to order. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is purely because I have found other companies wide fit range to fit so much better and also have a longer strap length. For someone who has wide feet and thicker ankles, I could not even do the straps up. It's so hard for someone like me to find a modern pair of shoes which fit like a glove. Maybe a pair of shoes could be made where you can choose a strap length by your own measurements like you can for bracelet wrist sizes. I was sad to send these beautiful shoes and the premium packaging back. I loved every single detail of these shoes and how they arrived.”

“I was so excited to receive my wedding shoes from Charlotte Mills. Given the price and the social media presence, I was sure they were going to be incredible. Delivery was swift. Unfortunately they are not comfortable at all. I ordered the 'Jagger Pearl'. The ankle strap is not secure at all (due to the way it just wraps around your ankle and isn't anchored to the back of the shoe. It's also way too big, which means I'd have to have a shoemaker add additional holes. The straps are really rigid and not comfortable. The sole of the shoe looks like it has been worn slightly already. Really disappointed given the price. There is no denying that they look fabulous though!”

“Hi, unfortunately I have returned the shoes that I purchased for my wedding. I didn’t personally think the quality of the shoes reflected the price. The shoes that I ordered also already looked as though they had been worn/tried on numerous times, and the buckle of the strapping was very poor quality. The sizing was also small meaning the shoes didn’t fit comfortably. I’m not sure if all the shoes are of this quality but I would not recommend the Jamie pearl.”

“The quality is excellent however the “size 2” is not actually a two. I was told after purchasing “they run big” which is not ideal when you have petite feet.”

“The shoes are absolutely stunning but sadly far too narrow. The detail and care that goes into the shoes really shows and I am so so sad they don’t fit! I ordered the wide fit shoe but honestly they were tiny still. I don’t think the ankle strap was long enough either. I do have wide feet but when I order wide fit from other providers they are usually fine so I was very surprised just how small they came up. I was really holding out hope that these would be the perfect shoes for the big day, but back to the drawing board!”
