“I liked being able to speak directly to staff on the shop floor who were knowlegeble, polite and very helpful. Disappoited I could not order and pay over the phone but had to order on line.”

“After some research I found their price to be very good and placed my order which was promptly delivered. The hand written thank you note was a pleasent suprise. A good quality service. Only negative comment is the fact that you have to cover the cost of returns so its worth bearing in mind when comparing prices particularly if your not sure of the size you want.”

“Acknowledgement of order on a Monday to delivery the following Thursday was impressive. However It was unfortunate that my Barbour jacket - in spite of my best assertions - was not large enough and l needed the xxxL. I returned the jacket and CH replied next day to say they did not stock the xxxL. A shame but the whole process was well handled from a customer perspective. Full marks to CH for that. I'm just awaiting the refund against my credit card.”

“Would have give it 5 but paid for quicker postage and not got it. I’m 5’9” slim 11stone dead, bout medium fits like a glove, probably could get a liner in for added warmth come winter, we’ll see”

Next working day means you would receive your jacket on Monday, which you did so although we understand your expectation was not met we did meet our obligation. “Item arrived when advised however too big so send straight back however over a week later I am still waiting for the refund, £177.65 is alot of money to be waiting for, especially this time of year & in the current climate. “Very good communication,status of delivery and very helpful staff on the phone. Delivery by DPD was, as usual, flawless. Unfortunately, my initial order (Barbour Sapper Large) was enormous. I'm a 44 inch chest and 6feet tall. So, i ordered a size Medium, hoping the roominess of the first would equate to a better fit, but alas the Medium was far too small. I don't think that Charles Hobson was at fault at all, just the crazy, irrational sizing of this model of Jacket. I'll be returning the medium jacket too. After all of this i'm without a jacket and down £40+ with delivery charges.”

“Very good service. The only downside was the pattern delivered wasn't the one I ordered and doesn't match the jacket it's a liner for which is a little annoying as it was the correct lining of the website.”
