“I purchased a new Barbour wax jacket from CH and the online sales service was prompt and very competitively priced. The only negative is related to the manufacturer - I ordered a size larger than I would usually purchase [as instructed on CH’s web site]. I’m not an especially large man but the fitting, especially over the chest & shoulders, is very neat to the point where movement is partially restricted – hopefully the jacket will break in eventually. However, the manufacturer needs to review its size protocols as the actual size of the “XXL” jacket is more like “L” to “XL” for most other manufacturers.”

Barbour jackets in particular don't tend to follow one strict size guide and all vary to differing degrees, which of course makes it incredibly difficult to know what to recommend sometimes. “Sorry to have to write this. Coat was very good price, Delivery was great, on time the next day, well packaged with return labels. Coat was good quality and fitted well. However the lining had several what looked like short straight dog hairs which wouldn’t brush off and had to be picked off, we don’t have a dog, I’m sorry for this revue but you did ask.”

“Refreshing to find a retailer with sale goods in popular sizes instead of only the very smallest and the huge! ordered top quality 'Eton' shirt at half price with free next day delivery, although was shirt rather poorly packaged loose in a cardboard box and lacking a cellophane wrapper or bag”
