From email to say my order was on it’s way, it took a further 6 days for it to arrive at the store….. too long. I rang store twice within that time and can’t fault the staff there. Would think twice about using ordering service again

Thank you for your review. Your order was dispatched on Tuesday 9th August and would have been in the store on Thursday the 11th of August. If there was a delay, we sincerely apologise, we have a van that goes to Newcastle 3 times a week to deliver so do not know what the hold up might have been. This is not the normal time scale and once your dispatch email is sent, the store should contact you within two days to let you know that your order has arrived. I ordered a pair of Bugatti shoes. They sent the old model not the new model shown on their site, that I ordered. It arrived with a hand written model number on the side!!

Do you do narrow fit on footwear S most of the shoes on sale everywhere are standard or wide fit

I did not want to pay for fast delivery but I was charged for it. I placed my order on Friday 5th August. The shoes arrived on Monday 8th August. I am sure you will agree this was not fast delivery.

Thank you for your review. You can opt for free standard delivery which is a dispatch within 5 working days maximum, express which is within 3 working days and is £3.99 or overnight delivery which is £5.99. Your order express delivery chosen as the option. All options state this is for working days, you placed the order on a Friday and had delivery on Monday. I recently purchased a pair of shoes online, I am not new to Charles Clinkard either purchasing online or in-store and have always found the service exceptional. Unfortunately this time their service fell short, the shoes arrived undone which straight away told me these had been worn. On closer inspection, they were marked both on the inner lining and the sole. When tried on the back was baggy and would have required additional holes to ensure a good fit. Unfortunately, the pair that was received in their place are marked too, so will need to be returned.

Sometimes we may have a return where people have ordered two sizes for fit and they may be re-sold when they come back as they are still new. However, these should be checked upon their return and again at the point of dispatch to check that they are as new. I apologise on this occasion that we have let you down. Recently bought a pair of espadrilles of you I’m a size 6 unfortunately they were very narrow so I needed a 61/2 I noticed you don’t do half sizes so I had to return very disappointed

Liked the shoes but one of them had been worn as it was dirty on the bottom, I expected a brand new pair.

Amount of products and brand choices were very good as was the prompt delivery. The reason for 3* review is that it cost £18 to return the unwanted shoes as I didn’t realise return P&P wasn’t included and I’d ordered multiple shoe sizes. My own thought for not reading the T&Cs! Hopefully though this review will stop someone else getting caught out!

Thank you for your review. You can take any items back to a Charles Clinkard store or return them by post. There is a link to collect+ on our website where you can return up to 10 kilos for just £4.49 allowing you to return multiple items if needed. You can send back via Royal Mail second class and pay a little extra for tracking which keeps the costs low, however, if you choose a next-day service, signed for then this will bump the costs up. Always liked this company, shoes are nice, a bit on large side. Experience let down by courier when i received a text saying i wasnt in and had to collect from the store. I was most definately in. ????

Thank you for your email. Your order was dispatched on the free standard delivery service which is delivered within 6 working days. We also have an express service for £3.99 and a next day service for £5.99 on orders made before 5pm. Thank you for your review You can take an order back to any Charles Clinkard store, or you can return by post. There is a link on our website to Collect + which allows you to send up to 10 kilos back for £4.49, or you can use any postal service of your own choice. Royal Mail charges about £2.85 for a second class return and you can get tracking for approximately 80p more. You can of course pay up to £11.50 if you opt for a next day signed for service, but you do not need to do this. This may help for future reference. Kind regards, Janice - customer service

I paid for express delivery so expected the parcel to arrive a day earlier than it did. It would not have mattered if I had not needed the sandals for my holiday in which case I would not have paid for express delivery.

Thank you for your review. Orders that are placed as express are dispatched within 3 working days (sometimes sooner). Your order was placed on a Thursday and sent out on Monday with an overnight service so was on time as weekends do not count as working days. We do also have a next-day service but the item has to be already in our warehouse here to be able to enable us to do that. Pleased with the product and reasonably quick delivery. Thankfully the shoes fitted well because l was dismayed to discover that a return would be at my own expense. This would deter me from ordering again.

Thank you for your review. Our delivery service for orders over £40 is free and if an item is returned within 2 weeks, and standard postage was charged if an order was £40 or under, the postage is refunded. Rather than posting back, you can take an item back to a Charles Clinkard store if you have one close to you, this would not incur any charges to return. I can see though, that you do not have one close to yourself. You can also use a second class service via Royal Mail, added tracking is only about 80p extra. It is up to the individual if they would like to pay more and have a premium service, but a shoe this size can cost as little as £2.85 to return. If an exchange is required, we would again cover the postage cost of the item sent to you. I hope that this information is of help. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

Bought myself and my daughter sandals and waited for them both to arrive in store before collecting them. Only for my daughters to arrive Tuesday and be told Thursday that mine is out of stock and be refunded.

I went to pick up an order through click and collect, 2 pairs of boys trainers. On opening the boxes one was not the pair I ordered. They had obviously been put in the wrong box, and not been checked by anyone. When she went it see if she could order the correct pair they were now out of stock. I wasn't really offered an apology or any sort of compensation. The wrong trainers happened to be the exact pair my son already had but in bigger size. I said I would take them for now just to avoid me having to look again and pick up again. Son didn't really want the same trainers again but will probably end up keeping them due to not being able to find any others. I do feel the customer service here was not great.

Unfortunately, after constant visits to my local Charles Clinkard store without success, I was so pleased when my size was eventually available online. Sadly, the front of the left trainer has a black scuff mark but because I have waited so long for these trainers I have had to accept these less than perfect, expensive trainers

Very nice shoes when they arrived,but the delivery was not good, with several "sorry we missed you" messages when they were trying to deliver tother wrong address.
