“The boots were fine but the Barbour box was in a disgusting state. Ripped plus sellotaped on the corners broken handle Hand writing on the outside of the box ( must have been on display) This is a Christmas present which I feel ashamed of !!! Absolutely awful and from what I thought was a high value shop. I paid for express delivery and they still took a week to arrive Terrible service especially as I could have got them elsewhere for £79”

I am very sorry to see the condition of the box, and I fully understand your frustration, particularly as the item was intended as a gift. We aim to keep products in their original branded packaging wherever possible, as many customers prefer this. However, in this instance, our dispatch team should have repacked the item in one of our own boxes, and I apologise that this did not happen. The express delivery service guarantees dispatch within three working days, and your order was sent within the promised timeframe. Unfortunately, it appears that DPD was unable to complete delivery on the first attempt, which understandably may have given the impression of a delay. For the inconvenience caused, and in the hope of restoring your confidence in us, I have applied a discount to your order. “Really liked the website site as it clearly showed which shoes have removable foot beds (as I need to fit orthotics) Great selection of stylish shoes, especially Gabor - great German engineering that really help my arthritic feet but are also stylish. Have bought from Charles Clinkard several times, always excellent communication and delivery. Ps top tip for people using orthotics for first time, go for a wide fit and at least a half size bigger than normal.”

“I'd seen the boots in my local shop, but then I became unwell so ordered them on line. Lovely boots and really comfortable. The only down side was that they were advertised at £59 99 but when I went to pay they came up at the usual price of £79.99. But then I got 10% discount as it was my first order online.”
