“Took almost a week to arrive and unfortunately DPD were rubbish! Did not leave parcel at either of 2 options if I was out so I decided to collect it from my local Co-op. The packaging was battered and the broken open. Luckily the boots wee undamaged.”

“I regularly look on the website for its good range of quality shoes. However, I ordered my boots on a Friday and paid for next day delivery. As it was late afternoon I did wonder if it would happen. What I didn’t expect was delivery late Monday afternoon. I think you should point out that delivery does not include weekends.”

“Great boots, wife loves them but ... it was impossible to make them the surprise I wanted them to be. Why do you companies insist on emblazoning your logos all over the packaging, especiallycoming up to Christmas? My wife knew exactly what I'd bought her as soon as the package arrived and I wasn't there to receive it. This is the second te this has happened to me. Is the time of buying surprises over? But anyway, that's why you lose a star. Give it some thought eh?”

“The assistant was very helpful and brought as many shoes for me to try in the loafer style as my size would allow. After purchase she said that if I wasn't happy after trying the shoes at home, I could return them within one year so long as I didn't wear them outside. That was a surprise and I thought "what good service"”

“Website easy to navigate, lots of style choices but a lack of wide fit choice. A site search on ‘wide fit’ will throw up a range of shoes which come up wider but defined wide fittings seem to be missing altogether. I was still able to buy a pair of boots which fit beautifully from the suggested choices of ‘boots that fit wider’. I would definitely buy from Charles Clinkard again when looking for high quality footwear. Prices are on the high side so I wouldn’t choose the site for ‘every day’ shoes. It would be my go-to for good quality, real leather, classic shoes or boots to buy as an investment for a good few years’ wear. .”

“Ordered boots online which were faulty. Could see no options for this sort of return without paying postage so returned to nearest store. Clunky process of having money refunded and then charged again for new order of replacement boots. Had ÂŁ5 voucher off with original order that wasn’t given on new order so had to ring customer services to get ÂŁ5 voucher again. Bit of a faff and still waiting for replacement boots. Website needs updating to reflect free postage on return of faulty goods.”

“Nice quality shoes, delivery came in good time. Shoes do not have any grip whatsoever so there should be option to purchase slip resistant soles. In terms of size I wear 8.5, the right foot perfect fit but left a really slight loose feeling. I will put a gap closure inside but surprised”
