“Wrong dimensions sadly, board too short asked over phone for 212mm high board and then didn’t check paperwork confirmation that listed the shorter height of 119mm. Lovely quality board though, just wrong”

“The product good, but the delivery was a day late (despite paying a lot to get it when needed). After emailing their customer services to ask for a measure of compensation on the delivery cost, I got no reply.”

“Product was as expected. Paid £5 extra for fast delivery. Then received an email saying they were short staffed so delivery might be delayed. It was, beyond the time frame given for express delivery which delayed completion by the builder. No offer of a delivery refund”

“Wasn't the fastest delivery I've had to fair, Also I made a mistake hold my hands this was my mistake, however as a company that sales and knows about these things I thought they would of emailed to double check the archives and skirting was different thickness, witch means they didn't line up, But again this was my fault I made the order but just a little consideration for the customer and reach out to check would of meant all the difference”

“Price was good Ordering went smooth Received an email saying my order had gone to manufacture, then nothing. Phone line says busy and no reply to emails. I paid for delivery in 3-5 days and my order was delivered day 6. One item bruised but I can cut it out. I wouldn’t discourage ordering from CE but if you’re working to a deadline I would factor the wait.”

“Purchased matching skirting and architrave, paid for the primer to be added so that would cut down time prior to painting, unfortunately not impressed at all despite paying for this additional service. Around £4 per length...very splattery paint applied and not fully covered, total waste of time and monies paying for it.had to sand down, reprise and then undercoat. Be aware of considering this option.”

“The skirting product was fine, as per expected. The courier was something else. I asked him to give me hand just to move 6 lengths to the side of the house, a walk of 20 meters. He just said” can’t you do it yourself, “ got back in his truck and just left. Would not have taken 1 minute. I’m single, with a heart condition and required a bit of help.”

“Shame really had a great experience the first 3 times but this time skirting boards was damaged It was only by chance someone was off I’ll from work we was able to actually get the delivery due to nobody contacting us telling us a date or time”

“I chose to buy my skirting through Cutting Edge as I’d read lots of excellent reviews. I paid extra for express delivery, but it arrived 4 days after it was meant to and it was only dispatched after we contacted them to find out where it was. This resulted in me having to postpone the work and so we’re now still waiting to have this done weeks later. I contacted them about the late delivery and was told over the phone that I’d be refunded the delivery fee for the inconvenience, however, this never honoured despite me chasing them up. Really disappointed with the customer service and won’t be ordering through CES again.”

“Architrave turned up in good time and good condition. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong size its too wide (my mistake) and I am unable to return it as I was informed that it is made to measure. I am now going to have to look around for something more suitable.”

“I feel its the courier company they use, the delivery driver would only leave 11 4.2m lengths of skirting on my 77 year old mums drive and wouldn’t even put round the back which wouldn’t have been much more of an effort. You need to change the couriers you use to a more friendly and helpful service.”

“Great price, great product, unfortunately let down by poor communication. Was told at ordering stage that I would receive notification when delivery would take place. I didn’t receive anything, even after emailing them for an update. Pretty port for an internet based company”

“Product is good, the skirts are well made and well finished. Service though, no email to say order dispatched, no confirmation of when delivery will be made. Given that 4.2m lengths of skirting boards can’t be left in a convenient place notice of when a delivery will be received is essential.”

“Skirting and architrave were good value until I had to pay £90 delivery to get it before Christmas, even though I was willing to wait the 5 working days for delivery that were still available. Also, I phoned immediately after I placed the order to ask for two lengths to be rebated (my fault I know) and was assured that this would happen, upon delivery it had not, most annoying. I appreciate that they were busy, but I feel as though they do not have that 'customer touch' necessary when someone (non-trade) is spending £600”
