“The skirting boards arrived on time and the moisture-resistant 18mm MDF appears to be of good quality. However, I was very disappointed with the finish. The product was advertised as having a fine smooth finish and being factory primed, ready for installation and painting. Unfortunately, the primer coat contained numerous hard paint lumps, bumps and surface imperfections along the length of many boards. The finish was far from smooth and required a significant amount of additional sanding and preparation before it could be painted properly. As a professional decorator and carpenter, I would not describe this as a "fine finish" product. The extra preparation time largely defeats the purpose of ordering pre-primed skirting boards. The MDF itself seems good, but the factory finishing and quality control need considerable improvement.”

“The primed finish wasn’t up to your usual standard leaving a speckled, rough finish particularly around the moulded section of the skirting. It was like it had either been sprayed with a gun that left it all Speckly or sawdust was on the MDF prior to painting”

Hi Judith, Its shame to hear we haven't delivered the standards you expected on this order, it looks like you ordered primed Ogee skirtingboard and architraves, these do require sanding and an undercoat on site before fitting as the profile goes quite deep into the board. “Paid for faster delivery and it failed to arrive on the first two days it was supposed to arrive. DX took it to the incorrect property on the first delivery day and then failed to load it in their van for the second delivery day. I had to take three days off work just to get the delivery in the end. Waste of time. Even paid extra for the faster delivery within 6 working days which was not achieved.”

“Overall not very happy. Order placed late on Thursday 30th October and acknowledged on Friday 31st October, order was placed with 3-6 days delivery. Phoned up and advised you are running to the later end of delivery so hopefully be delivered on Thursday 6th, nothing delivered. Was told Friday, nothing delivered. Was then told Monday, booked a day off work to take delivery, monday came around and still nothing delivered. Finally arrived on Tuesday however I asked prior to being delivered to phone me as im in work and would need to arrange to leave, no phone call and new order of skirting and architrave was dumped on my drive in the rain, not good.”

“Ordered on 19/9, delivered on 6/10. Free delivery but very slow, I understood that free delivery would be 6 to 10 working days, I rang the company on the 10th day because I’d heard nothing, I was told it would arrive 2 days later on the Monday with a tracking number. Tracking was poor, all it told me was that it would arrive between 8am and 6pm, so someone had to be in all day, it finally arrived at 4 20pm.”

“3rd time I’ve used. First 2 occasions fine. This occasion 2 lengths of skirting arrived damaged so I had to go and buy 2 more locally as didn’t have time for more to be shipped.”

“Delivery dates not met, had to cancel the order as client didn’t want to wait to have their skirting installed. No email confirmation of original order either. Also has taken a week after cancellation of order to confirm a refund. Probably wouldn’t think about using again in the future.”

“Ordered 10 packs and one came damaged. Tried to order a replacement but minimum order £50 which is annoying as I only need one board because 3 were snapped!”

“Placed a large order of skirting and architrave to do the entire house. Really disappointed with the quality of the MDF architrave, the detail is not at all how it appears on the profile images on the website. Many of the pieces also came damaged. They wouldn’t offer a return. I’ve bought replacement architrave elsewhere as I couldn’t live with the CE product. Unfortunately an additional expense.”

“Completely unhappy. Won't be ordering from here again. 8 working days it took to deliver my products when the site says 2-4 working days. Also 2 skirtings are damaged. I can see why Wikes and B and Q charge the prices they do because you literally do get what you paid for.”

“I paid £20 for delivery in 4-7 working days from 27 th Oct, you sent an email giving delivery estimation on 21-22nd Nov, too long, I have messaged you, no reply, please contact me with a sooner delivery date, I have trades people waiting, thank you”

“Delivery was delayed by a day wasn't notified by anybody I sat at the job until 6.20pm before I had to contact to find out where it was, also left a note for the driver to contact me half an hour before delivery but that didn't happen and the tenant had to help carry it down the road shocking”

“Ordered skirting online two weeks ago had the email confirming and told to await the delivery info email. still waiting, have contacted them and they say they'll get back to me so have no idea if it will ever turn up so cannot say if the product is in anyway good quality but so far really unimpressed. Would not recommend them”

“Sample took ages to come, despite saying 2-4 days. Then the actual skirting took much longer to come too, was more like 10/11 days than the 4-6 they say on their website. Terrible delivery system too “you may or may not get a call with a slot”. For an order as bulky and important as this I’d expect a much better courier service. The skirting itself is also grainy and textured from where the primer has been sprayed on and dried too fast, leaving a strange mottled pattern all over the skirting board. Going to take lots of layers of paint to cover that up”

“Not particularly impressed- I paid extra to have the skirtings primed- the quality of the painting is so bad I have had to rub them down thereby removing the priming”
