“The skirting boards were prompt on delivery and exactly what was ordered. Unfortunately one pack was damaged on transfer, however I called up to receive the best customer service. The female had a new set cut immediately and sent out before 12am the following day. There was also an option for re-delivery that day which we were offered. The female also contacted me the following day to check everything had gone okay. Cannot rate this highly enough.”

“Ordered a good few 6” skirting boards and one door architrave. Unfortunately 2 arrived damaged, I emailed and had a swift polite reply, skirting boards were picked up and replaced with new ones. I ordered them already primed in white and I think they’re all brilliant quality and will look lovely with a couple of top coats. Really pleased and will be ordering more skirting boards and architrave for 6 more rooms. Thank you ☺️”

“Skirting board is very poor quality. Maybe it was machined when damp? Very poor surface finish. Primer coat very poor quality, again due to the poor quality of the surface finish. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product. I've primed twice and rubbed down between coats to improve the finish, I'm still not there yet. It will take a lot of remedial action, time and effort to get a usable board”

“I had a couple of problems with the order one of which was my fault. I contacted the company and Freya was superb! She sorted the problems out quickly and efficiently. I am still fitting the skirting and architrave, it looks great and is super quality. It is easy to cut and does not split I will definatelly buy again from Cutting Edge Skirting and recommend them to other buyers.”

“Completely unhappy. Won't be ordering from here again. 8 working days it took to deliver my products when the site says 2-4 working days. Also 2 skirtings are damaged. I can see why Wikes and B and Q charge the prices they do because you literally do get what you paid for.”

“I feel its the courier company they use, the delivery driver would only leave 11 4.2m lengths of skirting on my 77 year old mums drive and wouldn’t even put round the back which wouldn’t have been much more of an effort. You need to change the couriers you use to a more friendly and helpful service.”

“Great price, great product, unfortunately let down by poor communication. Was told at ordering stage that I would receive notification when delivery would take place. I didn’t receive anything, even after emailing them for an update. Pretty port for an internet based company”

“I’ve been impressed with the customer service and speedy delivery however I’m very disappointed with the finish on the ‘primed’ product: there’s no evidence of any sanding of the painted surface which means I’ll have to spend time doing this myself - to provide context, the surface is as rough as P60 sand paper! This is very different from other primed MDF products I’ve bought from builders’ merchants. As a repeat customer who has previously bought the unprimed product, I chose the primed product for this large order to save time. This has been a complete false economy because I’ll spend my time completing the process myself. I use MDF extensively in my carpentry projects, yet I’ve always been able to minimise the surface roughness by applying a thinner priming coat and by using sharp cutting tools. I expect more care and attention.”

“Fantastic service. I ordered some skirting boards and a couple got damaged in transit, I emailed to notify them and Emily sorted the problem out straight away and the replacement boards were shipped. Couldn't be happier with the service.”

“Placed my order and then was dubious after reading some of the reviews, paid for next day delivery and unfortunately the delivery company never arrived on the planned day - thought the worse but the office staff on the end of the email replied to every enquiry and we're helpful - by luck the delivery van arrived on the Monday after the weekend as I got back from work and my order arrived. The Primed skirting board appears to be of satisfactory standard and at a good value. My experience with this company in the end was a good one and they've offered to refund the delivery costs due to the next day delivery not being met”
