“Celtic sustainable service has been really good but with the Lime Green Solo plaster products, you really, really need to be careful with this product. The warning on the packet isn’t sufficient enough. “May cause skin irritation” doesn’t really cover what this stuff can actually do to your skin. My hands were disintegrating before my eyes and it was very difficult to wash off. A better, stronger warning as well as specific advice on how to treat the stuff once it comes into contact with your skin, is needed. I certainly would have taken better precaution had the advice been clearer. Instead, it took a couple of weeks for my hands to heal. Aside from that, I also wasn’t happy with the finish on the three walls I did managed to finish.”

Lime-based products are highly alkaline and can be caustic on bare skin, particularly with prolonged contact. The severity of any reaction can vary from person to person. Appropriate PPE is essential when working with lime products, and immediate, thorough rinsing with plenty of clean water is required if skin contact occurs. This information is clearly stated on the product packaging, as well as within the technical and safety datasheets available on the product page. With regard to the finish achieved, lime plasters are sensitive to application method, background preparation, environmental conditions, and curing time. While many customers achieve a good finish with this product compared to other lime skim plasters, results can vary depending on these factors. “Seem fine as a company, good that they have a large selection of lime paint. Tad pricey on the old delivery mind( we send things regularly so know the avereage rates).”

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your comments on our range of lime paint. I’ve checked the delivery charge on your order and can confirm you paid £7.50, while the actual courier cost to us for that shipment was £8.34 with DPD once fuel surcharges were included. Your order was delivered on a next working day service, and in this case we absorbed part of the courier cost ourselves. We also offer free delivery on many products for orders over £50 where possible. Given the above, we believe our delivery pricing is fair and transparent, so a 1 star review based on delivery cost does feel disproportionate. I see that you didn't get on well with the lime paint. “Brilliant service, very quick delivery. We ordered multiple rolls of the sheep wool and except for the obvious light sheep smell, it's amazing. The wool did take some time to expand but once done it's doing an amazing job, the van already feels so so much warmer !”

“Great paint. Odourless and easy to clean brushes etc... Doesn't store very well though, I had half a tub from about 5 years ago which had basically turned to a solid block of clay when I went to use it, so best to use an entire tub in one go if possible.”
