“not happy with the order as it was sent out without the colour. just base coat was sent. although you sorted this out and sent the correct colour the following day this was a cost to me as the painter could not do his work and had to be sent elsewhere just to keep him busy at a loss to me”

“This product differs from a normal paste; however, once you understand how much of the product you need to undertake the work you have, which can be a minuscule amount from the small package of product. Upon application, the product has been effective (so far!). To work out how much of the product you need, some might find their O-level maths is not adequate.”

“I ordered 5 tubs of lime putty which were delivered to my father’s on a pallet. They were wrapped in black plastic with no obvious signs of damage. However when we unwrapped the plastic a mess awaited us. 3 tubs had been damaged ( probably by a fork lift truck). 1 tub was crushed at the side near the top, and the contents had spilled all over the other tubs. The second damaged tub had the seal broken. The third wasn’t bad. I sent a message via PayPal, saying the 2 tubs were damaged. (I did not mention the 3rd as it was minor) . The refund offer didn’t even cover the price of 2 tubs. In their opinion the damage wasn’t a problem as the lime putty was still usable. (There was only half left in the badly damaged tub! ) I then asked PayPal to intervene, and received another offer, which I accepted. After their response to my review, they are lucky that I didn’t leave 1 star. What happened to the apology!”

Dear S M Hart, The first we heard of any issue was not through direct contact from you, but via a PayPal dispute with some images and the message: “The palette must have been sent out damaged as there was no obvious damage before unwrapping.” No attempt was made to contact us beforehand. From the photos provided, we initially believed only one tub was damaged and promptly offered a full refund for that tub, plus an additional £10 as a goodwill gesture. When you later confirmed that two tubs were affected, we increased the offer to cover both, plus the inconvenience. Ultimately, you accepted our refund offer through PayPal, resolving the case. Our comment about the putty still being usable was intended as practical advice about not wasting usable materials, not as a dismissal of the issue; we offered a refund precisely because we took the damage seriously. “Can not fault service or product. Arrived in 24 hrs I bought the Earthborn paint . Decorator was very impressed with the paint, it covered our lime render really well and better value than other well known brands Thank you”

“How refreshing to find a company that actually cares about their customers and goes out of their way to be helpful and informative! My initial email enquiry to Celtic Sustainables was responded to almost immediately, and with clear unbiased advice and no sales pressure! Fantastic! (I needed help to choose the correct lime mortar for pointing my Indian sandstone patio). I placed my order and it was received within a couple of days ... with huge thanks to Sarah's immediate telephone assistance in verifying delivery arrangements with the courier. The selected Cornerstone Drymix proved to be the perfect choice, and enabled me to achieve a great finished job. I have no hesitation in giving anyone my highest recommendation to use Celtic Sustainables ... for a great professional service and supply of great products.”

“I recently ordered a Noblesse Slimline Waterbut with a 3P Filter Collector with fitting kit, and the package was delivered a few days later. I installed a couple of these a few years ago and they have worked well (and looked smart), providing essential water for the garden during long periods without rain. The instructions for installation are easy to follow and relatively straightforward for someone with basic tools – I found a little silicone spray helped to work the hose onto the connectors. Excellent product; efficient ordering process and promp delivery.”

“Excellent customer service - I was contacted by telephone and they were genuinely interested in helping me. Great variety of environmentally-friendly paint and material, reasonably priced (yes, it does cost more, but it's quality paint that will outlast any cheap conventional toxic paint. Celtic Sustainables charges the correct prices). Delivery is very speedy. I strongly recommend this company.”
