“Side shades perfect. Rear shades had a gap between which I had to put a small cable tie to connect the two panels . Which then made them look baggy .”

“Rear shades for Yaris 2015 do not fit correctly. The clips cannot be placed in the positions in the instructions or they won't go behind the trim correctly. The rear shade does not stay on AT ALL. Literally 2 seconds after the clips are slid behind the trim the shade pops out. Waste of money.”

“Main Window shades fit very well. The smaller window shields however keep popping out and the same with the back window. One stays in place very well the other the bracket just keeps twisting and popping out”

However, as our Car Shades are made from a mesh fabric they offer a 72% reduction in light coming through a window compared to windows with a Car Shade in place, unfortunately, they aren't a complete blackout solution. “Ok, so the premise is fantastic, delivery quick and the shades are brilliant; HOWEVER, on both sets that I have ordered the clips are absolutely impossible to get onto the shade frame; they’re just too small (and I’ve asked 3 other people to try). I’ve tried calling several times and for ages each time but never get through. So I’ve resorted to Gorilla tape to stick them on. Effective, but not an elegant solution hence 3 stars not the 5 they would have been.”

Hi Rebecca - we are sorry you are having issues with your clips and we would certainly like to try and help you get them attached so you can remove the Gorilla Tape. If you are having issues attaching the c-shaped clips to the frame try and push just one corner onto the frame at a 45-degree angle first rather than all of the clip at once as you can get more pressure through the corner, then once that bit is on the rest is usually a lot easier to push down. “Have previously used car shades for other vehicles and returned again due to quality of product. Once again product is of great quality and fits as should. Only problem was packaging is quite flimsy and both sets of shades that arrived were bent. Not wanting to go through the hassle of returning I straightened them out to as straight as possible by eye and fitted to vehicles.”

“They are great and protect my wee one from the sun but the fitting could be better for the price I paidfor my VW Polo. The rear ones don't fit well and the small windows don't either but the back passenger ones fit fine. I would contact them but heard their customer service isn't great and really they won't be able to fix it since it is a manufacturing fitting failure. Other than that, they do the job they are set out for but wish the fitting was more accurate for the price paid.”

“The blinds seem very good, but the instructions and the video are hopeless, I had to work out how to fit them myself by trial and error. I would have liked to have bought just the 3 blinds for the boot, but that doesn't seem to be an option.”

“The shade fits the window perfectly and is very secure once in place. However it doesn’t do a very good job at blocking out the sun and my little boy is still getting agitated by the sun being in his eyes.”

“I am really happy with the shades and they fit perfectly in my VW polo. However, the customer service from this company is terrible. I tried calling on two separate occasions (told I was 1st and 2nd in the queue) but after holding for more than 30 minutes I hung up as there was no answer. I emailed my query instead and even though this was responded to within 24 hrs, there was no customer service element to the reply I received and the text was very dismissive of my issue. I wanted help as I realised after fitting the shades that the small rear triangle windows are letting in a lot of light and making my baby uncomfortable so I simply asked if I could pay the difference for the pack that included those two extra shades. I was told 'no' without any sign of understanding or alternative suggestions to help me. The only option was to send the blinds I already have back at my own expense and reorder again, which is just not economical on either side. I'm sure this issue must happen all the time as you assume it's the large windows that let in all the light. The fact that you can't buy the shades separately to suit your car and needs is just ridiculous and it now means my baby is still in the sun and very uncomfortable. As I mentioned I was more than happy to pay the extra to upgrade my set even though I didn't need the boot shade, just to get the two small triangle shades which would have completely solved my problem. Unfortunately, even though it is a good product, the customer service and after sales support is non existent and there was no compassion for the needs of myseld and of my baby.”

Hi Sarah We apologise that you haven't experienced the level of customer service that we expect and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We do sympathise with your situation and your feedback is fair and valid, however, the reason that we don't sell windows individually is because of how they are manufactured in sets, i.e. we manufacture either Rear Door Sets, or Full Sets at any one time, we don't, unfortunately, manufacture singular windows on their own. We do however review this regularly and is feedback we have received in the past, therefore this may be something we introduce in the future although we do not have a timeframe on this. “Great concept but for the price I expected better instructions. You get a sheet of blurry/pixelated images. One of the clips broke and when I emailed, I heard nothing back. If you get the shades to fit, they do look great though.”

“The last shades I bought to my Audi A4 Avant, they do their purpose, however they doesn't fit perfectly... In the past I order ones for my VW Golf and this ones had a perfect fit.”

“Bought a set of shade for my Lexus IS which arrived promptly and well packaged, the shades are a perfect fit for the rear side windows but the enclosed instructions are useless and it's not very clear how to attach the supplied clips correctly, I've tried to contact the company for clarification and nobody picked up the phone so l left a voicemail with my details and so far 5 days later no response from Car Shades.”

“Item was dispatched quickly, and fit perfectly into the frame of the car. However (based on a video from the official Car Shades YouTube channel video of demonstrating how to install) I believe that there was a part missing - the tool used to pull back the rubber around the door and avoid damaging the car's paint.”

“Not quite a perfect fit. Have previously fitted these to a Mondeo. These are not as good. Luckily, I have wind defectors, that cover a gap at the top. The rear set have creases and will not lay flat. Despatched on a next service via DHL. Delivery was a waste on time and money.Took 6 days to travel 82 miles. Neither Seller or carrier seemed to mind though. Would I use this company again NO. Do not expect this review to be posted as no one likes a less than average review.”
