“The blinds seem very good, but the instructions and the video are hopeless, I had to work out how to fit them myself by trial and error. I would have liked to have bought just the 3 blinds for the boot, but that doesn't seem to be an option.”

“The shade fits the window perfectly and is very secure once in place. However it doesn’t do a very good job at blocking out the sun and my little boy is still getting agitated by the sun being in his eyes.”

“I am really happy with the shades and they fit perfectly in my VW polo. However, the customer service from this company is terrible. I tried calling on two separate occasions (told I was 1st and 2nd in the queue) but after holding for more than 30 minutes I hung up as there was no answer. I emailed my query instead and even though this was responded to within 24 hrs, there was no customer service element to the reply I received and the text was very dismissive of my issue. I wanted help as I realised after fitting the shades that the small rear triangle windows are letting in a lot of light and making my baby uncomfortable so I simply asked if I could pay the difference for the pack that included those two extra shades. I was told 'no' without any sign of understanding or alternative suggestions to help me. The only option was to send the blinds I already have back at my own expense and reorder again, which is just not economical on either side. I'm sure this issue must happen all the time as you assume it's the large windows that let in all the light. The fact that you can't buy the shades separately to suit your car and needs is just ridiculous and it now means my baby is still in the sun and very uncomfortable. As I mentioned I was more than happy to pay the extra to upgrade my set even though I didn't need the boot shade, just to get the two small triangle shades which would have completely solved my problem. Unfortunately, even though it is a good product, the customer service and after sales support is non existent and there was no compassion for the needs of myseld and of my baby.”

Hi Sarah We apologise that you haven't experienced the level of customer service that we expect and apologise for any inconvenience this has caused. We do sympathise with your situation and your feedback is fair and valid, however, the reason that we don't sell windows individually is because of how they are manufactured in sets, i.e. we manufacture either Rear Door Sets, or Full Sets at any one time, we don't, unfortunately, manufacture singular windows on their own. We do however review this regularly and is feedback we have received in the past, therefore this may be something we introduce in the future although we do not have a timeframe on this. “The shades are a great match for the window shape, they don't block as much light as I had hoped and the clips are a little Flimsy but they will do the job”

“Great concept but for the price I expected better instructions. You get a sheet of blurry/pixelated images. One of the clips broke and when I emailed, I heard nothing back. If you get the shades to fit, they do look great though.”

“The last shades I bought to my Audi A4 Avant, they do their purpose, however they doesn't fit perfectly... In the past I order ones for my VW Golf and this ones had a perfect fit.”

“Bought a set of shade for my Lexus IS which arrived promptly and well packaged, the shades are a perfect fit for the rear side windows but the enclosed instructions are useless and it's not very clear how to attach the supplied clips correctly, I've tried to contact the company for clarification and nobody picked up the phone so l left a voicemail with my details and so far 5 days later no response from Car Shades.”

“Item was dispatched quickly, and fit perfectly into the frame of the car. However (based on a video from the official Car Shades YouTube channel video of demonstrating how to install) I believe that there was a part missing - the tool used to pull back the rubber around the door and avoid damaging the car's paint.”

“Not quite a perfect fit. Have previously fitted these to a Mondeo. These are not as good. Luckily, I have wind defectors, that cover a gap at the top. The rear set have creases and will not lay flat. Despatched on a next service via DHL. Delivery was a waste on time and money.Took 6 days to travel 82 miles. Neither Seller or carrier seemed to mind though. Would I use this company again NO. Do not expect this review to be posted as no one likes a less than average review.”

“The quality of the shades are great. However, the customer service has not been. I was unable to find my model so ordered a very similar model hoping they would fit. They didn't (my fault). But when I wrote to customer service querying the replacement model, I'm not getting a response. I asked "will this come with a shade for the rear window or just rear passenger windows." I was told "if the product name is full set then it's a full set, otherwise it'll be called a rear set." I responded saying "the product name is set of four, not full set nor rear set." No response. I waited a week then followed up. No response. Well, you've lost another sale there then.”

“Rear passenger blinds fit well in frame but clips become unstuck from sticky foam pad and fall out (happened couple of times). Side windows in boot blinds are ok. The rear window blinds had to jam them between plastic boot trim and glass to make them fit as seem to big for the frame and the plastic clips absolutely useless, couldn’t get them to fit in any position and the instructions/pictures are diabolical (I can work most things out) and I don’t like the line down the middle of the window because it comes in two half's. If I purchased again I would only get rear passenger blinds.”

“Previously or deferred these are they’re far superior to any other products, orders my my BMW F31 Touring a little disappointed at the rear door window fitments in the way they don’t lock in like on my previous car meaning they can very easy drop out if the window is fully wound down.”

“Our second set of shades - first set for our previous car (Skoda Octavia) worked really well. However the shades for our new car (MG ZS EV) have not been so good. The stick on clips for the small windows by rear seats came off within 24 hours and the clips for the opening rear windows caught on the windows as they were closed bending the frame of the shade. This may Be a consequence of the design of the MG but not entirely satisfactory.”

“Product is great Instructions are terrible, poor quality pictures and can’t see any details had no idea which way round clip went, still not sure installed correctly. Online video is great if that’s the clips you have but mine was different.”

“Overall pretty happy with these. the side shades both on the rear doors and quarter windows are great; no complaints at all. Coming to the rear screen shades I’ve found a few issues. The frames of the shades are quite stiff and appear to be slightly too big for the window aperture. This results in the shades trying to return to shape (flat) in a compound curve situation. This pulls the clips out of the plastic moulding and the stress / force put on the adhesive clips easily overpowers them and they fly off every time I open the rear hatch. The two halves of the shades have to cross over each other in the centre of the window or they don’t fit at all. The force put on the two top metal clips have pulled the plastic moulding out of its mounts also. I now can’t open the rear hatch independently of the boot as the shades fall out, making the handy feature of the split window opening unusable. I seems I need another 4/6 adhesive retainers to run along the underside of the window to have a chance of them being secured in place.”

Hi James - we are sorry you are having a few issues with your tailgate Car Shades, we will get some more adhesive clips out to you asap. In terms of helping to get them to fit better, please can you check that the bottom corners of the Car Shades are pressed firmly into the trim which may require a bit of pressure to push them into place which usually then aligns the Car Shades so that meet flush in the middle. “Great car shades, but shocking fit for the opening windows, and the metal clips supplied end up damaging the internal window trims when you try and fit them. They also don’t fit size wise very well! Not impressed! As for the shades for the fixed windows, they are an excellent fit and well thought out.”
