“Unfortunately, the passenger shades do not fit my Volvo XC90. There is a large gap at the top of both shades and they subsequently fall out even with the clips in situ which do little to secure them. Very disappointing. The shades in the boot compartment do fit reasonably well. Pictures included.”

Hi Alex We are sorry to learn you are having issues fitting your Car Shades. Upon review of your images, it appears that your rear door window shades are missing 2 x M13 clips in each bottom corner. These clips will effectively lift the shade up and forward so it sits on the higher part of the trim, thus closing the gap at the top. “Good fit on rear windows but main rear passenger side windows not good poor fit and clips great if you wish to mark your plastics, leather door cards, and they don't hold in place or look good, sorry was hoping for more, would not purchase again.”

“The fact you won't allow me to buy the rear window as an additional after buying rear windows is just poor customer service. I am a willing paying customer, who actually wants to buy more from your company, after being happy with the original purchase but only later realising that I need to protect my baby from rear window sun too. Just a real pity a company who provide, albeit expensive, a great product, won't support you with any after thought support.”

“They don’t fit great despite being the set that I triple checked I needed to order. They also don’t actually do a good job of providing shade. The sun still very much streams in and my baby is left needing additional items to keep the sun off them. Just not quite as promised.”

“The shade on the back (boot) window is OK but the ones for the side windows took two people to be able to put them on, and flipped straight back out shortly afterwards. A waste of time and money. 2 stars as the rear one is OK.”

“Sadly the shades don't fit correctly. Especially on the c class, when I open the window all the way, the shades fall out. There's only one clip that holds them on place and it doesn't fit under the weather sealing. Overall very disappointing.”

“disappointed , i have wind defectors fitted to my rear side windows , so fitting the carshades to a 2017 Ford Focus , you have to fit the carshades from the outside , but with the wind defectors fitted , you need to be able to bend the side frame of the shades about 1 1/2 inched more than normal., by doing this in bends the top edge frame of the shades , this bend when the shade is in place , is impossible to straighten out , so they don't fit tightly,”

Hi - I am afraid our shades are designed to fit original unmodified vehicles, we cannot know how any other 3rd part accesories could impede the fitment of our shades. Regards Carshades

“The shades themselves are fine, the fitting was a total nightmare!! One hour, a cut hand and three broken nails later, I finally managed to get them to stay in place. Getting the clips onto the shades is really difficult, they are so stiff to fit, and then getting the shades to stay in place was frustrating, one fell off every time I shut the door! The "how to fit" videos didnt really help either! If it hadn't been fo the fact that I desperately need sunshades to protect my granddaughter, I would definitely have returned them! Sorry, I always try to leave positive reviews, but felt I needed to point out the difficulties I'd encountered.”

Hi - we are sorry you are having issues with the fitment of your Car Shades. We appreciate the clips can be stiff to get on and sometimes it is easier to put one corner on to the frame first at a 45 degree angle so more pressure can be applied through one corner of the clip to attach it to the frame. “We can’t fit the window shades to our car! I ordered two 2016+ rear window shades for my seat ateca 2017, they are good quality and sturdy and look good, but they don’t fit! And there wasn’t actually an instruction manual to teach us how to install them properly. It came with clips, but no instructions on which clips to use. We searched on YouTube how to fit them, and neither of the clips actually work because the shades are about 1cm too big for the seat ateca windows! Considering they are supposed to be made specifically for that model car, they don’t fit at all, we would have to bend them slightly to squeeze them in!”

Hi Julia We are sorry to learn you are having issues fitting your Car Shades. Please could you try the following steps: 1. Fit clip CL-M12 to the frame of the Car Shade first on the right-hand edge of the Car Shade 2. Fit clip CL-M11 to the frame of the door on the left-hand side, this video should give you a guide on how to fit them https://youtu.be/z8e2-mm8sUg 3. Push the right-hand side of your Car Shade that has clip M12 into the corner of the window frame first behind the plastic trim where your Car Shade is currently over lapping on the picture you have shared with us 4. Flex the Car Shade on the left-hand side behind clip M11 which is essentially a retaining clip Please let us know how you get on and if that doesn't work please could you send some more images to sales@carshades.co.uk and we'll see how we can help further. “This review is vehicle specific because the shades don't work as advertised on a Volvo XC90. They do not attach magnetically to the doors rather you have to squeeze them in front of the glass instead. That means that if you do want to lower the glass they fall off. Also, the 2 that are meant to be for the rear screen at the back of the car simply won't stay on the car. They are designed to squeeze each other in place but I've not done a journey without them falling off half way through. The shades themselves are really nice though, qood quality and server their purpose, as long as they work for your car. For an XC90, I would not recommend.”

“Bought some car shades based on what was shown would be compatible via the car details entered but once they arrived they did not fit. Response from customer service was very short and did not address our complaint about wrong suggestion being given. Now have no choice but to send back ourselves and pay return postage.”
