“I cannot praise Brian Walker highly enough. Once more, he has made the booking of our Canadian trip effortless. His knowledge is extensive and nothing is too much bother. He is extremely professional, gives valuable advice when asked and deals with everything promptly and efficiently. Although all communication has been by either email or telephone, Brian is a friendly voice on the other end of the line. Although our trip is several months away, I have every confidence that it will be as well organised and smooth as on the last occasion he assisted us.”

“We have recently got home from a fantastic holiday in Canada. Adla was recommended to me by a family member. In August 2025 I rang her with a list of what we wanted to do and a list of our limitations, such as my recent liver transplant and my husband's blindness. Adla came up with an itinerary that suited us. We were independent with some free time but I didn't have to do all the work. Tours and transport links were organised. Hotels in Vancouver and Banff were great. The Rocky Mountaineer was fantastic. Banff was an adventure. We had such a good time, we have just booked with Adla for a return trip next year. Jasper here we come! As before trips are booked to accommodate what we want to do, allowing for our limitations. Thank you Adla, you have excellent knowledge combined with thought and understanding.”

“We have just returned from an amazing holiday on the Rocky Mountaineer. It was wonderful. Adla's knowledge, advice, efficiency and patience was fundamental in getting the itinerary sorted out and everything went perfectly, three plane trips, four hotels, two excursions and a wonderful train trip all within eight days worked wonderfully. Thank you Adla . The icing on the cake was that the train started off from Banff in the snow( in June) and we saw Grizzly and Black bears”

“Adla did a fantastic job in arranging and organising everything ( Flights, Hotels, Excursions, Cruise etc ) to ensure we had a fantastic holiday of a lifetime. Everything went to plan !! “We could not have been happier with the customer service provided by Barrhead Travel and Michelle in particular. They arranged a superb itinerary across Canada which included the Rocky Mountaineer experience and finished with a super Alaskan cruise. We were genuinely surprised at the value of the holiday considering everything it included. We could not fault the hotels chosen,both the Sheraton hotels were great and the hotel in Banff was so picturesque with amazing views to the mountains. The Rocky Mountaineer provided an exceptional experience that we will never forget. It was a holiday of a lifetime and we are very grateful to Michelle and Barrhead for arranging everything ,including our request to upgrade flights. I have already recommended Barrhead Travel to friends and colleagues looking for the ultimate holiday and will definitely look to book with them again.”

“It was over 2 years ago when we first contacted Adla about the Alaska Cruise and Rocky Mountaineer trip. Adla was very professional, friendly and most helpful in fulfilling our dream holiday. Her response to queries was quick and answered. Unfortunately 2 days before we were to go we had to cancel due to a health problem. On informing Adla she was very sorry and helped immensely with our insurance claim. Normally people once you have finished with customers its on to the next one. Not with Adla. Rolling on 2 years later we contacted Adla as we wanted to rebook our holiday. She managed to get us the same trip but also a little cheaper albeit a day less. As it was our 70th birthday special holiday 2 years earlier Adla had organised something special for us in the Hotels, Ship and Rocky Mountaineer. The organised trips she organised were excellent. Adla,thank you so much for an incredible and unforgettable experience. Being our first cruise it certainly will not be our last and the Rocky Mountaineer was amazing. All this would not have been possible without your organisation. We have no hesitation in booking with you on our next cruise and would highly recommend you and your company.”

“From the moment i contacted Adler at Barrhead Traveln I felt in comfortabe hands. With pure professionalism, patience, and no question to hard to answer, I was at ease to go ahead with my holiday. Adler is a credit to Barrhead Travel Five hotels, many excursions, one internal flight, a train trip, and a cruise, many things could have gone wrong. The fact that it went exactly as planned, is a credit to yourselves. The hotels in, Toronto, Niagara, Banff, and Vancouver, were as advertised. All premium class, clean, spacious, and wonderful views from the windows, especially of Niagara Falls. The trip along Niagara Gorge was fabulous. With many frequent stops, it was a eye opener. The trip to the base of the falls was very wet, but what a 'wow' factor. All the sences were in overdrive. Lunch at the Skylon Tower, was mInd blowing, magnificent food, service, and views. Banff will always impress, and did not fail this time. So many shops for retail therapy. The Mount Royal Hotel was right in the centre, a great choice!! The day trip to the idyllic Lake Louise was so scenic. It is generally frozen over, (as it was) until the end of May. Highway 93 so majestic, reaching the Athabaska Glacier. What an adventure. The top of Sulpher Mountain was just stunning. Vancouver, we found this city, at a slower pace,and the hotel idealy placed for getting around. Its a beautiful city. Finally, the Alaskan cruise. A first for both of us. We were not disappointed. It was mind blowing. After a week plus liveing out of a suitecases we could relax. The refurbished Celiberty Solstice was first class in every sense. The staterooms were comfortable and spacious. The balcony was a must have! Literally watching the world sailing by, and seeing Orca whales too. The Hubbard Glacier was surreal. The thunderous sound on cracking ice, and the ship sailing through mini iceburgs, what and experience. Juneau, is a great town, with many shops ( we got engaged, and bought a ring there.) and Ketchican, more than made up for it.. Time flew by and next thing, we were back in Vancouver, and taking the flight home. Both Karen and myself give the holiday 10 out of 10. It is because of the overall experience that we felt confident in placing our next holiday with Adler, at Barrhead Travel, especially with a loyalty discount. Regards Malcolm.”

“We travelled on the Rocky Mountaineer and cruised on the Inside Passage , Alaska. We had time exploring Banff and Vancouver . From our first contact with Anne, she delivered a first class service , always very informative and friendly , communication was superb. Anne suggested an itinerary that suited our requests perfectly. At a later date after our booking was confirmed , it was necessary to delay our dates by a week. Anne was very helpful and worked hard to amend our full itinerary to accomodate the changes. Our package included flights, transfers, hotels, cruise and Rocky Mountaineer , at each stage of our holiday we didn't need to worry , we were confident of Anne's expertise snd we were proved right. Thank you Anne”

“Our travel consultant - Michelle- was absolutely excellent. She organised our trip of a lifetime to Japan. This included business class flights, a three day stay in Tokyo and a cruise around Japan. “Excellent Holiday away for approx 3 weeks everything went like clockwork Tour guides was all prompt and very helpful. Had a copy of my itinerary but didn't really need it as everything fell into place . I would recommend it to any one. “We've just returned from an 18 day trip in Canada including a cruise to Alaska. Everything was so well organised --hotels, transfers and excursions . All the guides we had were very good. We even had a group photo taken at Lake Louise to send to Barrhead Travel . The trip on the Rocky Mountain train was wonderful and so glad that we took the suggestion to upgrade to the Gold Leaf service. The only things that we had to organise was our transfer to our hotel in Toronto and the transfer to Vancouver airport . Thanks to Anne in the Glasgow office for all her help and advice before our travels 😀”
