“The Bob Books designer software is a great, once you have worked out how you want to use it. I prefer to create my own templates, with my own photo dimensions, as I do not like either heavily cropping images or drastically changing the photo proportions. I use the micro four thirds format, so I have created 4:3 ratio picture frame sizes. I have not used any of the Bob Books ready-to-use templates. The turn round on delivering the finished books was incredibly fast. Using discount codes, the price of my books were great value. I ordered the "Landscape Classic Hardback Book" format. The quality of the printing was good, similar to Blurb & better than Photobook. The paper quality was great. But I was a little disappointed by the sharpness of the printed photos. They were fine, but not super sharp as I see them on my MacBook screen. Maybe I should have tried the more expensive "photographic" paper options. I have used the "Gloss" paper before & this seems a bit sharper, but not as pleasing as the lustre of the "Classic" paper. Or maybe the Bob Books designer software "photo optimisation" effects the sharpness of my original JPEG files.... it would be good to know if this is the case or not. I would use Bob Books again, as for the price, they are a great product. Maybe I will try a more expensive paper next time.”

“Bob books are the best. I have tried other photo books but never as good. The quality of the paper and the functionality of the app is amazing. The customer service is also so professional and the books always arrive super prompt. I always recommend to friends.”

“I looked through quite a few apps as I am not very technical and I wanted one I could easily follow. Bobs books was very easy to understand and use. My only thought was there could have been a few more templates sizes for the pictures. My album came very quickly and looks wonderful. I would really recommend Bobs Books. Jane”

“The editing software is really good and easy to use, it helped me get the book exactly how I wanted it. Also, when I had a query for customer services, they got back to me pretty quickly. However, I found the printing a bit dull, especially given the price of the product. I might try gloss next time and see how we get on with that.”

“Very helpful when speaking to advisers on the telephone and good quality of photo reproduction in photo books. There is some inconsistency when responding to emails regarding lack of response. I have had 3 where there was not response. However, in general, very good.”

“I am very happy with my 4 photo books recently produced by Bob Books. The quality is excellent and they were delivered within 5 days. The Bob Designer is intuitive, very flexible and easy to use. My one niggle is that the book sizes and auto format options do not seem to allow readily for 6 x 4 photos, so I had to do a fair amount of tweaking.”

“After attempting, and failing, with a few photo book websites, I was introduced to Bob Books and given a 10 minute 'lesson' and found it incredibly easy by comparison to the others. More 'user friendly' and intuitive. Lots of functions available to create a book that I love ..........”

“I've used Bob Books for years. Each year I do a Yearbook rather than keep endless pictures on the computer. This years book was so disappointing. The contrast control was poor and lots of the pictures were dark. I complained but Bob Books wanted the book returning so in the end we didn't bother. We like the no quibbles 'Amazon' approach. Bob Books got a lng way to go”

However we do ask for these books to be sent back so we can quality check the book ourselves and can see the finished product and what went wrong. “We like the Bob Books software which is easy to use and you just upload the whole book at the end as it’s done on your computer and not in the cloud. The latter necessitates uploading individual photos which can be tedious, as we have found in the past. As ever, the quality is superb and the book was returned very speedily.”
