“Created a lovely book for a friend's birthday. Thought the online software was very good. There was just a couple of days when I couldn't access it because the website was down, so probably safer to use the downloadable software instead.”

The book looks amazing, arrived very quickly and over the years the process of producing the books has become easier to use which is great. Looking forward to putting together our next book!”

“Started on iPad. Changed to downloading software on advice of v helpful chap on phone helpline. Straightforward after that - simple clear layout. Never got the hang of text - it always appeared too small. But that was my only niggle (& same with other apps). Beautiful book which arrived just in time for 21st birthday celebrations - to the delight of 3 generations. Wd thoroughly recommend.”

“As a complete beginner it took a while to work out how to upload photos and design pages. I would advise people new to photobooks to do their planning first and divide photos up into small 'bite sized' files and upload each individually - one file for 2/3 pages, as once you have designed a few pages it is difficult to add in pages afterwards.. It is vital to Save your work as you go along, and to make sure the website is registering this - if it doesn't, it hasn't saved. I lost a lot of work and time because of this. An up to date computer is essential too - I started this book on an old computer and it was almost impossible to design pages and save, the capacity wasn't enough. The new computer is great - much faster editing, obvious saving etc. I used the Layout options a lot, but it is frustrating when the picture shapes are changed and cropped - it took a while to get the layout the way I wanted it. The book is great, very good quality and the online preview is very true to the actual thing. Text boxes work nicely. My next book will be much easier, and I look forward to having a go with the special effects etc.”

“I have used Bob Books to print large lay flat photobooks with high quality photo paper. The app is very easy to use and i was amazed at the quality of the print job and the colour reproduction. The product is expensive but good quality, and overall i am pleased with the photobooks vs the cost.”

“A really straight forward and easy service to use. The online design features could have been a bit more intuitive, but overall very good, especially if you've never used a photobook service before. It would also be good if there was some way to get a better idea of what the paper finishes are like as I was not expecting the Lustre finish to come quite as it did!”

“Three or four big pluses for me - the software to design the book is easy to use. I like the choice of typeface etc. The quality of the printing is not absolutely 100% high quality...but it is 95% high quality. My book looks great as an artefact and I will be using it as something visitors to my future exhibitions can browse on. I did think the price was a little steep. And I hope Bob Books will make their prices a little more competitive. Final point - their server does not crash so that significant irritation is not present. Thoroughly enjoyed the process of making 'The Boyhood Project' .”
