“What a lovely process to have a book of some great holiday memories”

“My only concern is that the printing is generally very heavy. In one instance, I did complain and it was reprinted, but I do not like to complain every time. Blacks are very heavy and solid, and images tend to be printed darker. I now lighten images specially for the books, but it doesn't totally resolve it”

Dear Roy, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I have checked with our customer care team and unfortunately we were unable to check whether the Automated Image Correction was turned on or off during the creation of your book, which may have caused your images to come out darker than anticipated. We can offer you recommendations on calibrating your monitor, if you would like to do this before your next book. This should give you a more realistic preview of how the images will appear in print. “This was the first time I have used BobBooks. It was recommended by a friend. For years I have used Photos on my iMac to create my photo books. I loved using this software so the change was a bit of a learning curve. My first book was very good, the format slightly smaller but well finished and the photo quality was very good. I like that you can drag and drop in a photo from other files on my PC. The editing options are good. I would have liked to be able to shift single pages into different places rather that a double page. (Or maybe one can but I have discovered how yet!) I also enjoyed using the font options. I would like to see more 'handwriting' fonts to chose from however. So overall an enjoyable experience and very good outcomes. I will be back!”

“I found it Incredibly easy to create a stunning layout using the desktop book creation tool. Most importantly the book is finished to a very high quality (I went for the 300gms lustre paper, lay flat). Having tried a few of the other photobook services out there I will definitely be using Bob Books for my next book.”

“I have been a BObBooks customer for several years and have produced many books, the last one was 178 pages as will be my current one. The service and support i have been given has been excellent. Instant advice when needed and very helpful staff. I recommend Bob Books to everyone who shows an interest in creating a book etc. Brilliant company and staff.”

“I love Bob Books but this time I was completely disappointed. I ordered my books to Switzerland. The print was made in Germany so instead to send directly to Switzerland first was sent to London and then to the final destination. This took to much time and still one book hasn't arrived! No tracking number so we could not check where are the parcels.”

I am sorry that you have not receive one of your orders please contact customer care with the details as they haven’t been informed of this so we can arrange a reprint if needed. You can get in touch with our customer care at askbob@bobbooks.co.uk or call them directly at 0203 011 1644. Our international orders are charged at the same rate of shipping as our domestic orders, however, as you can understand our costs are actually much higher. To ship with a tracked service internationally rates are significantly higher, possibly costing more to ship than the price of the book itself.

“This is the third photo book I have ordered from Bob Books. Once again I can not fault the service and quality that the company offer. The software to make the books is easy to use with loads of scope to make a really interesting and different book. Once ordered, I was kept up to date with progress and when the final book dropped through the door I was thrilled with the final result. Thank you Bob Books”

“I bought an album for my wedding photos from bob books and wasn't disappointed. The book is brilliant, thick paper and looks very professional. I also love the flat spine so can have a double page spread photo. Picture quality is also brilliant. I used the online creator and only criticism is that if you leave and come back to it the pictures are displayed on screen as lower resolution (I presume so it can run quicker). I phoned to make sure that they would be printed full quality and was assured they would be. They were and my wife and I were very impressed. Next time I will download the app, otherwise no complaints. 5/5 Would recommend.”

“Takes a while to get the hang of it but very good and relatively easy in the end. I wanted express delivery but they could not do. However like the last book I ordered, Arrived quickly and well within the specified time. Top marks to the customer service team for when I was trying to get a quicker delivery - their quick and attentive replies were first class,”

“The book would have been fantastic if it hadn't been for a error, in presumably the software, whilst composing the book. One of the photos was missing from the preview but it was in All Pages ( the bit before preview). I asked about this and it didn't seem to be a problem. So I went ahead and ordered the book. After the person received the book, I went back to the site to publish it so other family members could view it and discovered that there was a blank page where a photo should have been. I contacted Bob Books but they didn't seem particularly helpful and told me to return the book and order again. I don't know why they couldn't just fix the problem and send another correct one. Very disappointed.”

Dear Caryn, Thank you for taking the time to write a review, I’m sorry that you were disappointed with your book. I’ve checked with head of customer care regarding your live chat query. Unfortunately, our agent misunderstood your final comment and thought you were referring to an empty image placeholder on the page. She did say if there was any issues, you’d be welcome to post the book back and have a free reprint. With regards to the missing image, it most likely occurred because your scanned image has become corrupt at some point. Therefore, you would need to fix your image, and re-upload it in your book before ordering it as unfortunately, simply printing another copy of your book from the original file will result in the same problem.
