“I have been extremely pleased and impressed with both the effectiveness of the Bob Designer Pro software on my Mac and the quality of the final Photo Books delivered. I am on a mission to better present my many years of photography (both film and digital) and have so far produced 4 books. To-date I have created A4 hardcopy books with a lay-flat lustre finish and they work really well for me to display the photos in a professional way, but also fit on my bookcase! The lay-flat has allowed me to be more flexible in the design and layout of each 2 page spread. When I get to a best-of-the-best I'll consider using a larger format. I haven't used the online editor, but I am impressed with the ease-of-use of the Designer Pro software - I don't use the automated layout as I like to have complete control of the picture selection and layout. Quality of the final hardcopy books is excellent and the output colours and brightness are consistent with those I work with on my screen display (there are various tips out there, including on Bobs Books website, to get a decent balance between your screen and final hardcopy). I haven't tried other services and chose based on other reviews I had seen - for me this has been a great choice and I'll be continuing with Bobs Books for my next projects. I have already recommended to a friend.”

“An excellent service and product from start to finish. The software is easy to use so I could upload and edit my photographs very easily. When our wedding album arrived we were delighted with the quality and finished product. I’m already planning my next Bob’s book and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them.”

“The instructions are easy to follow to make up a photo book with a large varieties of layouts available. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of putting the photo book together and I have now done 4 in total. The quality of the actual photo book is really good and looks very professional. I have had lots of positive comments about them.”

“I cannot give a better rating as the book I received looked as if the automatic colour boost has been applied even though I had made sure to turn it off. As a result the subtlety of the colours has been missed. As I result o would hesitate to use Bobs Books again.”

Dear Joanna, I’m sorry that you were disappointed with the colour of your images in your book. With any possible printing issues, please do feel free to contact our customer care team upon receipt of the book. This will allow them to check the print files to see if the book can be improved with a reprint, or if the images might need to be edited and sent again. I have checked with customer care and unfortunately they have confirmed that the Automatic Image Correction was turned on, which is why some of the colours have changed. “The programme is very user friendly and easy to navigate. The quality of the finished book is superb. There are lots of choice of types of books, paper, size etc and I like the fact you can add pages for a very reasonable price. After 20ish books I would unreservedly recommend Bob Books.”

“I have had lots of photographic lustre lay flat books made and the quality is superb. You can run a picture over both pages and the join hardly shows, which makes layout much more flexible. As a photographer from the 1950s lots of my work was black and white and their monochrome reproduction is excellent with super depth to the blacks.”

“I have used Bob's Books for 6 books now and have always found the software easy to use, the production prompt and the end product of high quality. My only dissatisfaction, having built up a reasonable loyalty bonus is that you can either use that to offset your next purchase or one of the discounts that are always available - that seems unfair to loyal customers!”

“This was my first book with Bob and I am delighted. Any slight disappointments were due to my unfamiliarity with software processes and not with Bob explanations or services. I had three questions over the period of making the book and all were dealt with quickly, efficiently and pleasantly. The book was quite complicated with a lot of text and the next book will be even more so. I am working out the best way to get what I want onto the page but, with the 'preview' facility, I am confident that the end result will be just what I want. Thanks Bob Books. Ken Phillip”

“I was pleased overall with my most recent books, but just two points - the photos generally were just slightly darker than I expected and on delivery (which took 5 days to arrive after notification so probably not your fault) the packaging was damaged so badly it dented the cover of the book. (This has already been reported and dealt with)”

“Fantastic quality printing and fast delivery. I’ve enjoyed the freedom of using their Bob Designer app on my desktop to put my book together. But makes it much easier to do than professional programmes. Gives loads of design options to help you on your way too! Great bit of software. I’ve done my whole wedding album on photographic paper, and at a fraction of the price it would have cost to get them printed. Also my Scandinavian Roadtrip! Will continue to use! Thank you!”
