“Pages open completely flat so you can see the whole of a photo which spans both pages. This is different to some other companies where you can't see all the way into the centre because of the binding. Pages are thick and are of good quality. I have used their photographic paper and the quality of the reproduction/colour is excellent. I used Bob Books for my wedding and honeymoon books. These and others have received many compliments by members of my local camera club. I have only had a problem once where some pages were stuck together, but a replacement copy was quickly dispatched free of charge.”

“Very good. Bob books was recommended to me by a friend. I went to Mexico for my 50th and made sure I took some good photo's. On my return, I uploaded them to Bob books, paid my money then waited in anticipation for the book to arrive. I don't know what I was expecting but the book was better than I thought it would be. My wife and I were very impressed and would definitely use again.”

“My picture is wonderful but it arrived slightly damaged. There was a damaged area on the box and a small area of the picture is slightly stretched. My elderly neighbours accepted the parcel and did say about the damage to the box.”

“Over the past two or three years I have had many books prepared by "Bobs Books". These include six large size photo books with over 70 pages in each, five A4 size photo books again with 70 plus pages in each, one of which contains 1488 photos. I have also had printed my personal life story in a large photo book which contains mainly text with copies of documents and photos. The service and advice I have received from Bob Books staff has been excellent throughout my experience and I have recommended the company to other friends and relatives. At present I am in the process of preparing another 70 plus page photo book.”

“Overall very happy with the quality and speed with which book delivered. Sometimes the photos move while being transferred though which are rather unfortunate. Also, last time I entered the voucher code, but it didn't register and as a result I lost out on a 20% discount which I wasn't happy about.”

“Book was brilliant, I gave it to my dad as a birthday gift. I used the standard paper, with a large square book. The quality was great. Only a couple of minor issues - photos are slightly darker on the page than on the screen (not really an issue except for the photos that are darker anyway). Also the lay-flat binding was good, but didn't work as well as I thought it would. There was nothing lost in the actual gutter of the book but the pages didn't actually lie flat so photos across double pages were slightly distorted in the middle. overall really nice, would definitely order again.”

“An excellent service; the after sales is very good at sorting out any issues. The designer is straight forward to use. Be careful with colour space output if you start in RAW and check what is best for the printer. E.g. output to JPEG in RGB or sRGB; also brighten the output to compensate for the screen brightness to print. I've found the larger formats produce the better results. An excellent way to keep pictures in the age of digital.”

“I have had several books published by Bob Books. These have mostly been about wildlife and the natural world. I have been pleased with every single one. The quality is just fantastic. The service is excellent. There is something special about having your photographs displayed in a high quality book on high quality paper. The colours are always spot on. Bob Books - the choice of photographers who demand high quality products to promote and share their work.”

“After a lot of searching through competitors' systems, I chose Bob Books because the software gives me all the flexibility I need to place photos and text exactly where I want them, as well as making the photobook as long as I want. The print quality and colours are very good and the bind quality excellent. The covers are super. The photobooks are printed and delivered very quickly and on the odd occasion I have had to ask a question, it has been answered very quickly. In short, I think this is an excellent system and service, and I thank Bob Books immensely for several great photobooks.”

“The Bob Books software allows a good degree of flexibility in designing your own layout and customising the look, with a wide range of colours and fonts available. A bit more control over the precise location, instead of reverting to the grid, would be nice. Importantly, the saturation and colour reproduction is very accurate - the printing seems to be unforgiving with underexposed images, but in general, the quality of the printed product is accurate and as sharp as your images allow. This was based on the "classic" paper type. One slight grumble - I had two copies of the same book printed. While the print copy was identical, one of the books pages were mounted inside the hard cover slightly misaligned. It did not protrude from the cover, but when flicking through the pages one was aware that it was not properly aligned. Overall, I am happy with Bob Books and am already working on the next book!”

“I have been using Bobbooks over many years and the process has always been very straight forward and the results very rewarding. The latest version of the software has removed most of the less satisfactory features. The quality of the finished product is unfailingly good and on the rare occasion a problem arises it is usually dealt with efficiently. One very small grouse is I have long felt that long standing customers who have a reasonably prolific record of producing books should be rewarded with a scale of discounts. Finally, the range of books and other media that can be produced continues to expand in a remarkable way.”

“I'm now accumulating a 'library' of books - all large Square Lustre Photographic hardback with some great photos of holidays and some really great covers. When on holiday I now look for the cover photo when I'm there. It's comforting to know that I can produce two other books (in the wings) with the same format so that the library can expand. Spending time to create / plan the book is always an investment - indeed in some ways it now takes longer to produce a book knowing how good it will look when finished. I recently started to show a friend my book on South Africa and it took her several minutes to realize that the pictures were actually mine - she had thought the book was a rather nice coffee table book we had bought over there - such is the professionalism of the printing and laid-flat style. “This is the first time I've used bobs books. I was attracted to the lay flat gutter that they provide. They customer service was brilliant in helping me choose the right paper ect. The book arrived sooner than expected and the finish was wonderful. The only thing I could say that needs improving is that some images were slightly darker than expected.”

“I was a little wary of using the software as I didn't want to mess up an expensive order, but I found the preparation procedure intuitive and after a little practice became much more confident. The process of making a book (for real) was easy and a very enjoyable exercise, the ability to amend and improve in the software was very good. The hardest thing was waiting with apprehension for the end product to arrive. I need not have worried , the book was of excellent quality and I was delighted with it!”
