“Excellent book quality with a reasonable turn around time. Software is excellent although for some reason in layouts you cannot the "Bob Books" layouts. The other aspect that could do with being improved is to allow automatic replacement of a photo in a book layout after you have edited the photograph in an external photo editor. That is, you need a menu item that says "re-save" all of the selected photographers into the cache used by the software to store copies of the photos placed in the book layout. This is particularly relevant when two people are working on a book. Where one person can begin by selecting photographs and organising the book layout whilst the second person can be editing the photographs in for example Lightroom. If the edited could then be simply copies over the originals used by the first person and then simply "replaced" within the software. This would be a huge productivity gain!”

“I've now used Bob Books on 5 occasions in the last few years. The quality of the finished books have been excellent. The software, which is provided free, was simple to install and is exceptionally easy to use. The range of options for photographic page set-up is extensive, narrative is simple to use and you can also take advantage of various photo enhancing techniques. I am an amateur photographer and now retired from paid work. The books that l've made using Bob Books have been admired by friends and family alike. I am a very happy customer and will continue to use the company in the future.”

“I must admit that it doesn't come cheap at all, but the quality of Bobbook's photobooks is really impressive and far superior than another famous one I has used in the past. The only problem: they don't offer the service of converting the book into a pdf that can be saved and watched on any device.”

“Although I am not a computer expert, I was able to work out fairly easily how to make up my book which was done as a memento of our 30th wedding anniversary. When I received the finished product (in ten days time), I was thrilled with the finish and clarity of both the photographs and the accompanying text and have been showing it off proudly to friends and relatives. It makes a great coffee book to put out in the sitting room and we often go back into it and relive the holiday experience. I thoroughly recommend having a go at this as it is well worth it and very rewarding.”

“I have used Bobs Books several times and the last one was just as good as previous times, sadly i also used another company when i could not get my software to load on Bobs, for some reason, and the results when the book arrived were very lack lustre compared to Bob's standards. Cannot recommend you high enough..thank you.”

“Excellent, flexible and intuitive software, easy to operate. Huge choice of styles and effects. One big drawback: there is no provision of taking your book-in-progress from one computer to another. I work a lot in Spain, and cannot bring my Spanish work back to UK to work on it further there. You can do this in Blurb: why not in Bob?”

Hello Ian, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. I just wanted to follow up your comment regarding moving your book. I am assuming that you are using our Bob Designer desktop software. It is possible to move the book files from one computer to another. You'll need to make sure that you have the same version of the software installed on both computers. Where you saved your book you should find a folder ending in mcf-Dateien and two files ending in .mcf saved with the name you've given your book. I recommend you put these three elements together into a folder when transferring the files to your other computer. You can then either start the Bob Designer software and use the "open" option to find the book and open it, or double clicking on .mcf file should launch Bob Designer and open the book for you. “Good, quick service from Bob Books. The software is reasonably flexible so you can create your own designs and the print service is good. Previously I've had issues over the printing on the spine, but that seems to have improved. Overall, a good product.”

“My canvas print is stunning. The image is a difficult subject for canvas - it has a dramatic sky and could have looked dark on the textured matte paper, but the reproduction is excellent. Delighted with it.”
