“Although I am not a computer expert, I was able to work out fairly easily how to make up my book which was done as a memento of our 30th wedding anniversary. When I received the finished product (in ten days time), I was thrilled with the finish and clarity of both the photographs and the accompanying text and have been showing it off proudly to friends and relatives. It makes a great coffee book to put out in the sitting room and we often go back into it and relive the holiday experience. I thoroughly recommend having a go at this as it is well worth it and very rewarding.”

“I have used Bobs Books several times and the last one was just as good as previous times, sadly i also used another company when i could not get my software to load on Bobs, for some reason, and the results when the book arrived were very lack lustre compared to Bob's standards. Cannot recommend you high enough..thank you.”

“Excellent, flexible and intuitive software, easy to operate. Huge choice of styles and effects. One big drawback: there is no provision of taking your book-in-progress from one computer to another. I work a lot in Spain, and cannot bring my Spanish work back to UK to work on it further there. You can do this in Blurb: why not in Bob?”

Hello Ian, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. I just wanted to follow up your comment regarding moving your book. I am assuming that you are using our Bob Designer desktop software. It is possible to move the book files from one computer to another. You'll need to make sure that you have the same version of the software installed on both computers. Where you saved your book you should find a folder ending in mcf-Dateien and two files ending in .mcf saved with the name you've given your book. I recommend you put these three elements together into a folder when transferring the files to your other computer. You can then either start the Bob Designer software and use the "open" option to find the book and open it, or double clicking on .mcf file should launch Bob Designer and open the book for you. “Good, quick service from Bob Books. The software is reasonably flexible so you can create your own designs and the print service is good. Previously I've had issues over the printing on the spine, but that seems to have improved. Overall, a good product.”

“Like many others I take many photos on holiday and store them on my computer, and then very rarely look at them. My daughter makes a Bob Book after every holiday and these are often looked at so I decided to do the same. Not having used Bob Books for several years I asked her to remind me how it worked. Not only is it very easy to use but I get an enormous amount of enjoyment from the actual process of choosing my photos, deciding what background I am going to use and whether I am going to use a frame for my photos. I make each page different and particularly like being able to use a photo as the background for some pages and the ability to have a full page photo. The choice of sizes of book and type of paper is very good and I am delighted with the finished product. Time from uploading your completed book until delivery is very quick and I shall continue to use Bob Books.”

“Impressed by the new paper types since my last use of Bob's Books. Additional image masks and clipart images were really useful too. Processing and delivery kept me well informed. Very happy with quality of product and service. Only areas for improvement for me would be the amount of additional memory required to place my order caused issues for my small laptop. Also, it would be helpful for a check print, as I couldn't see a number of typo's nor that a few photographs were out of focus on my small laptop.”
