“I was delighted that I was able to design my own page layouts as well as having the ability to use the templates already supplied, which made everything very flexible, which suited me down to the ground. I was also very pleased and that I had the ability to take my time to get my book "just right" by downloading the software. I am very pleased with the result and will be using Bob Books again.”

“Service is excellent...little disappointed with the colour quality on the front covers, ordered 3 books the same design in different sizes and they were all different darkness. Apart from that I was relatively pleased.”

“Lovely books with a wide range of way to conceive and publish it. You can do it on an app or download the ready to use templates in In Design for a more professional approach. The only downside was the shipping, a bit too long (I think), with no tracking.”

“I made a Bob's Book of photographs I took on a recent holiday to Greece for my wife's 70th birthday. I am very pleased with the result I was able to achieve. The finish of the photographs was excellent. The main problem I had was at the stage of sorting photos and selecting which ones to include. When your photos are first introduced onto the Bob's Book site they appear in a strip along the top of the screen above your draft book. You then drag them from this strip on to your book. The problem that arises is that there doesn't seem to be any way of removing photos from the strip when you have decided you don't want to use them. In practice, this means that you need to do all your sorting and selecting first, before you load the photos on to the Bob's Books site. I am planning on doing another bigger book of a longer holiday we took a year ago. I'll need to plan out what photos I am going to use before I start on the book.”

“I was able to create the Bob Book in InDesign which gave me all the freedom I wanted as I already knew that software well. When exported through the Bob Books format it unfortunately came out with some hairline white lines on five of the pages. These were not part of the design and they didn't exist using other output formats. Luckily the help team were able to clarify that this unusual blip in the system would not show on the printed book. Hopefully it can be ironed out. The finished book was superb (with no unwanted thin white lines) and it was very well received. It arrived perfectly on time.”

“Very good, prompt service and decent quality printing. But a few reservations: 1) It's apparently not possible to delete images from the image bank at the top of the screen. This means the bank can become over-full of images that you don't want/need. 2) If you add more than about 30 images to the image bank, they do not load unless you come out of the page and go back in again. This software needs upgrading. 3) In my book, there were very small gaps between some of the images that had been edited to sit next to each other. When editing, there were no gaps.”

I have checked with our customer care team regarding the removal of unused images and this is a feature that we are may be able to add to our online creator. You should be able to upload more than 30 photos to place in your book, the inability to do so could have been related to your connection speed or the file size of the image. The gaps in between some of the images should not have happened and we are happy to look into this further. “Once you've planned your images the creation of the book is fairly easy. The finished books are good and impress the oldies. The guy on the helpline was very helpful - sorted out the issue I was having submitting the final artwork.”

“I have used Bob Books for personal greetings cards and two books. Reproduction and speed of completion/delivery are excellent. The software for producing a book is easy to use but for the card could be improved. This is the only reason that I have stopped short of giving scores of very good and 10. Recommended.”

“Customer service is excellent. I wasn't satisfied with the original print of my book (issues with colour and likeness to the original images). They did everything they could to get the problem sorted including a free return label. Sometimes communication was a little slow and one of my e-mails didn't get through as they can't accept images over a certain size. Despite all of this, we got the problem sorted and they sent me another print of my book (on different paper etc) and this is great. Quality product and service.”
