“Shoes are super and a great colour which was difficult to find . However I had been to the shop and seen in a market Harborough - they did not have in stock in my size . What the assistant failed to advise me was this style come up large so I could have tried a smaller size on in house which are the perfect fit! Reviews showed the style came up large .”

“This is a bit of a mixed review. Beggs shoes and boots are excellent quality. It is perhaps the lack of full information that does not help the customer. I bought two pairs of leather knee high boots. This is becauseit is often hard to know which size in different makes is the correct fit for the individual. But I would really like to ask for, is that with boots, the customer is given a top of the calf measurement. Again there is no norm for calf size. In one well known brand, I have tried average, and slim, and they were both baggy. I consider myself to have very average calves! And this was the case with the boots from Begg.”

“Ordered slippers size 12 and details stated they were wide fitting - THEY WERE NOT and I couldn’t even get them on. Current Clark’s are supposedly the same size but are much wider and longer.”

“The boots sent seemed to be different from description.I thought they just had a gusset fastening not a zip and fur inside.I'm sure someone else will appreciate them.”

“Service great, but I got Sketchers arch fit trainers and just for me they are far too soft. £89 badly spent - no proper support really in them. Unfortunately wore to work and can't return, feet really sore at end of the day. Will be going to a charity shop. This problem is highlighted in reviews online but I didn't realise. Will definitely not buy sketchers trainers again. Their sandals seem better.”

Whilst the Skechers Arch Fit range offers some support, this of course might not be suitable to everyone's requirements. We would highly recommend brands like Legero, Ecco and Imac for excellent support with built-in arch support and cupped heels. “I really like the look of the shoes, they are quite light as shoes goes and comfortable. The leather is quite nice and soft and it seems to fit nicely with my bonien on my right foot. Something that I don’t find good about the shoes is that it doesn’t have much of support on the hill. Which it doesn’t help when you have a 10 hours shift on your feet.”

Hello Mary Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and I am sorry that your new sandals are not to your liking. The brand name Earth Spirit has been discontinued in the UK. Its tried and tested range of products has been rebranded under a new name, Free Spirit. Free Spirit offers the same designs, fitting and materials meaning they offer a near-identical substitute. Earth Spirit shoes are no longer made, however, under the new brand name Free Spirit, their shoes are for all intents and purposes the same. Customer feedback has been generally positive about the rebranded products on offer, although the change in branding has caused considerable confusion. Customers have found it very hard to tell the difference between the rebranded products, which are now available in more styles and colours than ever before. This information is detailed on our website and across all Free Spirit products. I am sorry that these sandals are not to your liking. “Fast delivery but slow process in refunds. Item sent back last Wednesday and received into the store on the Friday. Takes 5 days to put through the till then head office will then issue the refund which can take another 5 days.”

“I have shopped with Begg for years and found the staff both in Perth and online to be very helpful. Online orders always come very promptly and with a handwritten note signed by a member of staff which is rather lovely.”
