Bought a pair of shoes, the assistant said my purchase hadnt gone through on contactless so had to chip& pin. Got the shoes home to find they were 2 different colours, phoned them to advise & they then told me my card had gone through the first time so i had been charged twice. Returned the shoes to the shop & got my refund & they ordered me a new pair as i really liked them. 4 days later the shoes arrived but they were the wrong size! How on earth can do many things go wrong on buying a pair of shoes?! By this point i was exacerbated & asked for a refund. Will i return...i doubt it.

Considering I placed the order on 2/17, it's now 3/2 and shipping shows it still hasebt left the UK. It's hard for me to give a good mark.

Great website and customer service from Begg Shoes but sadly the shoes I bought turned out to be a mistake. The Rieker walking boots looked robust but within a few minutes of wearing them in wet weather, or on damp grass, the water has seeped through the seams to the fleece lining, and my feet are wet inside the boots. Despite the manufacturer's claims they are not designed to raise your foot "above water level". They aren't designed for even damp British weather.

Rieker shoes and boots are often made with stitch construction sole units which give them flexibility and comfort. This common style of sole unit construction means that water ingress can occasionally happen through the stitch holes along the soles. Additionally, we find as footwear experts that wet grass can be worse than puddles for water ingress on shoes and boots that are not specifically waterproof. It appears that our description of this style does not mention being waterproof. That being said, I am pleased to hear that you found our customer service and website excellent, despite your experience with these Rieker boots. The service was chaotic because the only two pairs of boots that I wanted were advertised on Amazon AND the Beggs site and I ordered 4 pairs (have difficulty as these come up quite different from pair to pair and I wanted the two pairs) so it all got confusing. But I did get the 2 pairs of Legero boots that I wanted out of it in the end.

The sandals I ordered and paid for were later found to be out of stock. Payment was returned 3 days later, leaving me a dissatisfied customer.

Shoes arrived 1 yellowish (maybe it was in window), one shoe pad had marks however I liked shoes but no replacement as it was last pair. I asked for discount however supplier didn’t see nothing wrong in my pictures. Very disappointed with customer service, seems like they didn’t believe in my pictures

Ordered and paid for pair of shoes on line ,.then got a phone call 2days later to say sorry they had sold last pair . Surely on line shopping should have updated asap? Then I had to wait 5days for my refund..don’t think this service entices me to shop online with company again.

Sold as size 8.5/9 but unacceptably tight and narrow.Moulding surrounding sole shows a series of small pin head marks perhaps left at production.Hpe no long term ramificatios Thinking that I will have to invest in professional shoe stretching. At £130 purchase price I expected better -Ian Hazelton

I was sent an email, quite a few days after my original order, with a photograph showing one of the pair was discoloured due to being On display in store. They offered me a reduced price or a refund of which I took (the discolouration was prominent). I was disappointed. Luckily I ordered another style.

Both times going into Beggs I have not been impressed with the customer service. First time the lady told us we weren’t allowed in the “fitting zone” during a shoes fitting. Why would u fit shoes next to the display of shoes?
