My order states delivery within five working days - no chance! After nine working days I finally received an email that Bass Bags had booked a courier, but that the courier had not collected it yet. For a ~£400 item this is not the quality of service or communication one would expect. Yes, things go wrong but keep your customers informed! This item is a present for my wife but I still have no information as to when it will arrive. Greatly disappointed.

I paid a lot of money for a faster delivery. My pakkage arrived over a week later! At that time I allready was on holiday. Don’t know where my pakkage is now. UPS has stopped trying to deliver.

I feel I must have bought the wrong size. I could not hold the violin in the play position at all. For me a poor decision.

The strings were shipped on 26/04 and have not yet arrived today (04/05). I wrote to Bass Bags and he hasn't responded yet. Bad service. I strongly advise against.

Dear Andrea, I’m sorry your strings haven’t arrived yet and you think we offer bad service. We haven’t received an email that you say you’ve sent, I have also just checked our junk folder. We shipped the strings on the 24th of April to your Italian postal address. We also sent you tracking information in an email when we dispatched your order, so that you can track your order’s progress. I have just tracked your order and it is with the Italian postal service. I ordered a case for a 16" viola. I was sent one for a 17" viola. The label and the invoice both say that the case is for a 16" I've but they are wrong. I have requested information on how to return the case; confirmation that all costs will be refunded; and confirmation that I will not be charged for a refund. I have been asked for photographic proof of the size of the case, which I was sent. I was also asked if I had checked my viola in the case to see if the size was right. Being a professional viola player, that feels true patronising - it's impossible to confuse sizes that are an inch apart because the difference is too large.

I made a purchase and received a confirmation dated 24th January stating it will be delivered within 5 working days. It is now 5th of February and I have yet to receive my order. I have made two enquiries to customer service and receive zero explanation. Very poor customer service. Could you please arrange for a refund or let me know how to escalate this.

What can I say; it's been 24 days since ordering a set of bass strings, still nothing in the mail. The Royal Mail tracking is not working, so I have no idea when it will arrive. Will not use Bass Bags again, sorry to say.

Our cello case was supposed to take ‘5 working days’ but was ordered on 22nd of July and arrived 22nd August 2022! It arrived faulty (we couldn’t open the zip) - but after over 20 emails later I was told by Helen ‘what did I expect for that money’ (£140 isn’t actually a small sum for many of us). I ended up, two months later, finally getting a promise of a refund - but only after threatening further action!!!! Disgraceful behaviour from a business. I am also a business - my customers are always right.

We ordered a faulty cello case (it has not been opened as the zip is blocked). We have written numerous emails and offered to send a video of the blocked zip - all to no avail. We only received one reply to about 7 emails. We have been waiting for the case to be collected and for a full refund. I have even had to shout at the lady, Helen, on the phone as she insists it left her shop in working order. I have been asking for a refund for two months. Nothing. I am absolutely furious and warned them a while ago I would have to leave such a review, as we need our money back! Her words to me were ‘you get what you pay for’ (!) and then she wondered why I hung up. I normally only leave good reviews, and have a business myself - but I just don’t know that I’m ever going to see my £140 again otherwise.

I ordered a violin tailpiece on the 20th of August 2022,it was not dispatched until 30th of August 2022,over a week after it was needed.My emails attempting to cancel the order were not answered,nor were my telephone calls on the 27th of August 2022.There was not an apology or explanation for the delay.I'm an 83 year old strokie left with an expensive item that I cannot dispose of!

I returned for Bassbags because my previous experience with them was good. Everything was fine. This time I made an order of 1. a cello hire package of Primavera 200 (again) and 2. an additional set of strings all delivered in one go. But what I got is the additional set of strings already put on the instrument of P200 package. This is clearly a very bad customer service this time to deny customers' request without notifying them.

I ordered cello stopper last October(2020) but still I did not get it (Feb 2021 now) and I never get the shipping confirmation. But they charged it on my credit card. I never get back my money!!!!!! Please respond my email!!!!!!

Hi, I've located your order, which is still here, ready for collection as you requested. We emailed you within 24 hours of you placing the order informing you that it was ready for collection. To which you replied, "I'm still waiting for my order." We replied to you by email stating, "You have not paid for shipping for this; if you look at the above order, you have selected to collect the item from us. We contacted you to let you know it was ready for collection and assumed you would arrange for somebody to collect it from us. It is still here waiting to be collected." If you would like us to ship the order to you, we will happily do this. However, there will be a shipping charge. Alternatively, I'll happily issue a refund to your card. I want to add that we have responded immediately to every email that we've received from you, and we will continue to be as responsive in the future.

The package did not arrive within 5 working days as stated when I purchased the item (but it is Christmas so the delay was understandable). However, when my daughter tried to put her standard Stentor 1/8 size violin in the case having unwrapped it today, it wouldn't fit. Not even close. Total waste of money and unfortunately not likely to risk purchasing anything like this online again as a result.

I have been double charged for the last month, have called, no one answers, have emailed twice or three times, no one replied. When I stopped renting, I have been charged for renting as well as for Bass Bags picking up the cello, 35 pounds and also 45 pounds, once charge after another. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL for Bass Bags to not even reply, let alone process the refund!! what is going on? perhaps an awful review will help wake you up??? come on! This is something that needs your attention sooner than later. It does hurt your business, treating your customers badly like this!!

After agreeing that they would be sent to me for the next day (Sat - Monday) they didn't arrive until Friday. £15 postage paid for nothing. I could have got them on Amazon but thought I'd support a small business. Not very pleased because they needed them for a school concert and didn't have them. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't come to you again. : (

Hi Beth, I'm really sorry your items didn't arrive with you as soon as they should have done. I looked after your order, and I made sure that one of our staff members drove especially to the post office on Saturday to post your order. We don't usually send items out on a Saturday. However, in your case, I made an exception because of your urgency and as a small family company, we can do nice things like that for our customers. I have tracked your parcel which was sent with the Royal Mail on their Special Delivery service; It seems that it had been delayed in their system somewhere. You can view it's journey at RoyalMail.com using this tracking number BH732252177GB. We work tirelessly to make sure our customers are happy even going the extra mile out of our way on a Saturday to help our customers. Unfortunately, in this case, we've been let down by Royal Mail which is entirely out of our control. I will refund the delivery charge and contact Royal Mail for an explanation. Without defending Royal Mail, this is a very unusual occurrence; they usually are very reliable. Your review is the only 1* negative review our small family company has ever received, and it has created a rather sombre mood in our office this afternoon.
