“Was initially disappointed that the viola bow I ordered was on a back order and I didn’t realise that when I ordered it. However this issue was resolved and I was offered a slightly different bow at the same price which has proved perfectly good for my level of ability.”

“Bass Bags is one of the best strings shop/services around, that I keep coming back to, even though its not local to me. I bought my Jay Haide cello from them two years ago and David, the luthier/owner spent hours wth me helping me find the best outfit for my needs. I recently came into possession of a violin and Bass Bags were also able to help me with all my needs again (bow, rosin, shoulder rest) When the bow wasn't quite right, they agreed to change it for me - no quibbles. The small family team are supportive and highly knowledgable and never try to upsell. They always try to help you get exactly what you need within your budget. I'm very grateful to David and his wife.”
