“After submitting an online order, I received a personalised (i.e. not automated) email from an individually named person at Barnitts advising me that the item I had ordered was out of stock. He had contacted the manufacturer to check the situation and there was some doubt as to when they would be able to deliver new supplies of the particular item. He was very apologetic, but he had actually taken the trouble to find and suggest 4 other products of similar style and quality. He left me to choose between cancelling the order or changing to one of the suggested products, and let him know how I wished to proceed. I decided to take one of the suggestions and it arrived 2 or 3 days later. I am delighted with it and with the level of service.”

“I ordered a ceramic umbrella holder. It arrived the next day, the excellent parcel tracking system means you can see exactly where you parcel is and it arrived at the anticipated time. High praise to the person who packed this item. There was no way it could have been damaged in transit due to the vast quantity of bubble wrap used. As we are about to move house this will be recycled and used for our fragile goods. Thank you for wonderful customer service.”
