“Barnitts is one shop that you can go to ‘fix’ issues that you have in your home. The staff especially Mr Cook and James P are friendly and very knowledgeable. I only had to relay that my coffee machine and my flasks needed to be descaled. They advised me what and how to use the descaler. My coffee machine and flasks are now spotless and very clean. Thank you to the both of them.”

“Arrived promptly and the gentleman who did the delivery used has initiative as to where to place my compost, as I was a little slow answering the door(I am an octogenarian). He quickly explained where he had left it. Full marks!”

“The order was dispatched very quickly, but unfortunately Royal Mail delivered it to the wrong address. However, when I contacted Barnitts online dept. Mike, in the office, tracked it down for me and I was able to collect it from my neighbours house. So I was extremely pleased with your service.”

“This is a brilliant shop, a deceptively spacious place which sells virtually everything you could need. We always try to visit when in York, but didnt realise till recently that they also sell online. Looking for replacement inflatable Father Christmas (the previous one had a good innings), I discovered one for sale at Barnitts so ordered from them. Perhaps a couple of quid more than a well known online seller, but worth it to buy from a real shop. Very efficient service, parcel arrived quickly by Royal Mail and we are delighted with our new Father Christmas. Highly recommend.”
